KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN

Gangguan jiwa merupakan suatu kondisi medis yang mempengaruhi pikiran, mood, perasaan,

dan kemampuan seseorang untuk berhubungan dengan orang lain dan melakukan fungsi

sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, orang yang mengalami gangguan jiwa akan menunjukkan

perilaku yang berbeda dengan orang normal pada umumnya. Hal ini banyak menimbulkan

persepsi dan pandangan yang negatif terhadap penderita gangguan jiwa, pandangan ini akan

memengaruhi sikap dan perilaku seseorang terhadap penderita gangguan jiwa. Hal inilah

yang disebut dengan stigma dan akan melekat pada diri orang tersebut sehingga dapat

berdampak negatif terhadap penderita gangguan jiwa itu sendiri. Misalnnya mereka menjadi

diabaikan, tidak dilibatkan dalam aktifitas, didiskriminasi hak-haknya serta menjauhi mereka

(penderita gangguan jiwa). Remaja sebagai generasi muda dimana kelompok yang rentan

mengalami gangguan jiwa harus memiliki pengetahuan dan sikap serta perilaku yang bagus

terhadap masalah gangguan jiwa agar dapat terhindar dari koping maladaptif sehingga dapat

bertumbuh menjadi generasi yang sehat jiwa.
