Kursus Pilihan/ Elective Courses GGGA6213 Teori dan Amalan Kurikulum

Kursus ini bertujuan untuk memberi pemahaman yang luas tentang bidang pengajian kurikulum. Kuliah, perbincangan dan seminar akan meliputi falsafah, teori dan model- model kurikulum, perbandingan kurikulum, sejarah aliran pemikiran pembaharuan kurikulum, kajian-kajian dalam bidang kurikulum dan proses pembentukan kurikulum di Malaysia.

GGGA6213 Curriculum Theory and Practice

The objective of this course is to provide a broad understanding on the curriculum studies. Lectures, discussions and seminars will cover topics on philosophy, theory and curriculum models, comparative curriculum, the history of new thoughts and trends in the reform of the curriculum, research in the curriculum and the process of curriculum design, formation and development in Malaysia.

GGGA6243 Perancangan Kurikulum

Kursus ini memberi peluang kepada pelajar mengkaji secara analitis, kurikulum sesuatu program. Daripada pengkajian itu pelajar akan mengemukakan cadangan-cadangan untuk memperkemaskan kurikulum berkenaan. Tatacara merangka kurikulum yang merangkumi penyediaan cadangan untuk sesuatu kurikulum, matlamat, pendekatan, strategi, tenaga kerja dan latihan serta alat kelengkapan dan kemudahan akan dibincangkan. Di peringkat mikro, kursus ini akan membincangkan perancangan untuk mengimplementasi sesuatu kurikulum yang merangkumi aturcara aktiviti implementasi, pengurusan serta tenaga kerja dan penyediaan belanjawan untuk melaksanakan sesuatu program.

GGGA6243 Curriculum Planning

This course aims at providing students with the opportunity to analyse various curriculums of programs. Students will propose suggestions to enhance the curriculum based on this. This includes the preparation of a proposal for a curriculum, aims, approaches, strategies, personnel and training as well as equipments and facilities. At the micro level, this course will discuss planning for implementation of the program, management, workforce and budgeting.

Kursus ini bermula dengan pengertian penilaian, jenis-jenis penilaian dan konsep penilaian program. Dalam kursus ini pelajar akan didedahkan dengan pelbagai pendekatan penilaian alternatif di mana perbincangan secara terperinci akan dibuat bagi setiap model-model penilaian. Pelajar-pelajar juga akan dibimbing dalam proses pemilihan model penilaian yang bersesuaian dalam penyelidikan mengikut bidang dan seterusnya pelajar akan dipandu dalam membuat perancangan serta pentadbiran dalam melaksanakan penilaian program mengikut pendekatan penilaian yang berlainan.

GGGB6743 Programme Evaluation

This course starts with giving the meanings to evaluation, deliberating the types of evaluation and the concept of programme evaluation. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to various methods of alternative evaluation whereby detailed discussions will be made on each of the evaluation models. Students will also be guided

in the process of selecting suitable evaluation models in their respective specialisation area in research. They will also be trained to make planning and administration in developing a programme evaluation using different evaluation methods.

Kursus ini bertujuan mendedahkan pelajar dengan pengetahuan asas dan kemahiran tentang pengurusan sumber manusia khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan. Topik perbincangan meliputi aspek-aspek pengertian, objektif, serta kepentingan pengurusan sumber manusia dalam pendidikan, struktur organisasi dan pelaksanaan dasar pengurusan sumber manusia, proses pengambilan personel, latihan dan pengembangan staf, penilaian prestasi dan persatuan dan pertubuhan personel. Perbincangan antara pengurusan personel dan pengurusan sumber manusia juga akan dibincangkan.

GGGC6493 Human Resource Management in Education

This course aims to provide knowledge and skill of human resource management especially in education. The topics that will be discussed are definitions, objectives and functions of human resource management in education; organizational structure and implementation of human resource management policy; recruitment process; training and staff development; performance appraisal; and industrial relations. Comparison between personnel management and human resource management also will be dicussed.

GGGD6363 Pendidikan dan Pembangunan Usahawan Lanjutan

Objektif kursus adalah untuk memberi peluang kepada guru-guru dan pegawai-pegawai pelajaran yang lain mengkaji dengan lebih mendalam ciri-ciri Pendidikan Vokasional

dan Keusahawanan supaya mereka dalam memberi kepimpinan yang teratur dalam melaksanakan kegiatan dan pengajaran mata pelajaran perdagangan dan keusahawanan di sekolah-sekolah. Melalui kursus ini pelajar akan mengkaji dengan lebih mendalam teori pemilihan pekerjaan, kebangkitan usahawan di negara maju dan negara sedang membangun, ciri-ciri peniaga kecil dan analisis kanak-kanak dari sudut sosiologi dan psikologi pendidikan serta implikasinya terhadap menjayakan program Pendidikan Vokasional dan Keusahawanan di sekolah-sekolah. Kursus adalah dalam bentuk seminar tentang tajuk-tajuk tertentu yang berkaitan dengan Pendidikan Vokasional dan Keusahawanan di mana pelajar akan menulis kertas projek dan membentang.

GGGD6363 Advanced Education and Development of Enterpreneurs

The objective of the course is to give opportunity for teachers and education officers to study in depth the characteristics of Vocational and Enterpreneurship Education. This will help them to effectively lead in implementing the commerce and enterpreneurship course in schools. Topics include career choice theories, the rise of enterpreneurship in advanced and developing countries, characteristics of small scale enterpreneurs, sosiological and psychological analysis of children and implications on Vacational and Enterpreneurship Education in schools. The course is run as seminar in which students will write and present project papers.

Kursus melihat perubahan sebagai satu perkara yang harus berlaku dalam sistem pendidikan yang berkembang dengan pesat. Pada keseluruhan kursus ini membicarakan maksud perubahan dan implikasinya kepada kurikulum dan pengajaran. Kursus ini akan memberi perhatian kepada perubahan di peringkat sekolah dan juga perubahan pendidikan di peringkat negara. Perubahan bukanlah bermaksud melaksanakan dasar- dasar kerajaan yang terkini. Ia bermaksud mengubah budaya bilik darjah, sekolah, universiti dan sebagainya. Terdapat lebih banyak implikasi kepada perubahan pendidikan yang disedari oleh kita semua. Kursus berbentuk seminar dan terdiri dari perbincangan, pembentangan kertas kerja, kajian jurnal dan satu penyelidikan kecilan tentang perubahan dalam kurikulum dan pedagogi.

GGGE6253 Changes in the Curriculum and Teaching

This course reviews changes that ought to happen in a fast changing education system. It discusses on the meaning of change and the implication on the curriculum and teaching. Focus is given on the change in schools and on education in general. Making changes does not necessarily implicate implementing the latest government policies; rather it is changing the culture in classrooms, schools, university etc. and implications that go beyond our realisations. Discourses include seminars, discussion, presentation, journal research, small-scale research on changes in the curriculum and pedagogy.
