Your Company utilizes the Risk and Control Self- Assessment (RCSA) concept to identify and rate risks, and to implement control and mitigation in the areas related to the identified risks.
There are two approaches in the RCSA-based Risk Management Manual, namely:
Transaction-based, which is a risk management system
for particular activities or transactions, and Enterprise
Risk Management (ERM), which is continuous and
sustainable.
Your Company has been developing a Corporate Risk Management unit, which will endorse, control and audit the effectiveness of the risk management system. This unit will receive direct orders from the Risk Management Committee.
In 2009, the Corporate Risk Management function was activated by the Corporate Internal Audit unit, with a work plan that included the formulation of policies, socialization, the appointment of a Risk Management Officer, and the organization of related trainings.

Pemogokan Tenaga Kerja - Proses produksi Perusahaan Anda dapat terganggu oleh pemogokan. Kesepakatan kerja dengan serikat pekerja maupun para petani plasma, yang diwujudkan pula dalam upaya memelihara
hubungan baik dengan para stakeholder ini dalam semangat kemitraan dan transaksi yang adil mampu mengatasi risiko ini.
Kontaminasi Minyak Sawit - Penurunan kualitas akibat pencemaran dapat terjadi dalam pengangkutan. Perusahaan Anda berupaya mengatasi persoalan ini dengan mendekatkan jarak antara pabrik dengan kebun, serta selalu mempekerjakan pihak ketiga yang memiliki reputasi terpuji.

Weather Cycles – El Nino and long dry seasons may slow down Your Company’s operations. This climate-related risk is anticipated with planting and harvesting schedules, as well as by applying a proper geographic diversification.
Availability of Prime Seeds – Disturbance of supply may delay the implementation of oil palm planting plans. Your Company is currently developing its own seed garden to overcome this risk.
Raw Material Supply – Performance of third-party suppliers may disturb mill operations. Off-take
agreements with reputable suppliers is Your Company’s main effort to overcome this risk.
Environmental Impact – Your Company is complying with all government regulations with the aim of minimizing environmental impact, and guards the quality standard of its environment protection initiatives by following the ISO:14000 certification. Your Company has also established collaborations to reduce emissions in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol.
Labor Strike – Your Company’s production process may be disturbed by strikes. Work agreements with both the labor unions and the plasma farmers, which are materializing Your Company’s commitment to uphold good partnerships and fair transactions with the stakeholders can overcome this risk.
CPO Contamination – Lower quality of shipments may occur due to contamination during transportation. Your Company intends to overcome this risk by reducing the distance between the mills and the estates, as well as by always hiring reputable third-party suppliers of transport services.
Regulatory Changes – Estate size, sales strategy, and management policies may change due to changes in government regulations. Within the context of this risk, Your Company’s corporate strategy harmonizes the need to grow fast and the conservative nature of the
plantation business.
Foreign Exchange Rates – Selling prices and the value of Your Company’s US dollar-denominated debts are influenced by the performance of the Indonesian Rupiah. Your Company uses hedging to overcome this risk.
