Pada penelitian berikutnya, penilaian derajat TILs maupun ekspresi PD-L1 sel tumor yang menghubungkan dengan grade histopatologi, sebaiknya dilakukan dengan menggunakan sampel dengan jumlah yang lebih banyak dengan karakteristik sampel yang lebih seragam atau seimbang, terutama pada kelompok grade histopatologi.
4. Pada penelitian berikutnya dengan menggunakan sampel kanker kolorektal, penilaiaan derajat TILs sebaiknya juga menilai profil molekular sampel, terutama status microsatellite-instability.
5. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan yang mengkonfirmasi derajat TILs dengan menilai subpopulasi TILs, terutama sel T sitotoksik dengan pewarnaan imunohistokimia menggunakan antibodi CD8.
