Subject: Project Paper Submission on “Consumer Ethnocentrism and Purchase Intention in the Leather Industry of Bangladesh”. It gives me immense pleasure to complete my project paper on consumer ethnocentrism and purchase intention in the leather industry of Bangladesh. The purpose of the study examines the impact of consumer ethnocentrism on brand image, brand trust, product quality and import intentions in the leather industry in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh's leather industry supplies four to six percent of the world's total leather. For more than three decades, the leather industry of Bangladesh has been supplying wet blue leather products, hide leather and finished leather products to various parts of the world. For this reason, it has a great factor to develop the leather industry in Bangladesh to increase their quality and export leather products worldwide.

Support the growth of the domestic leather industry: Finally, consumer ethnocentrism can be used to support the growth of the domestic leather industry in Bangladesh.

Another factor that contributes to the development of ethnocentrism is exposure to the media and other forms of popular culture. This reinforces the idea that one's own culture is greater and can lead to the development of ethnocentrism. This may result in the development of ethnocentrism as a way of defending one's culture against perceived threats.

This can lead to a sense of multivalence towards the host culture and the development of ethnocentrism. For example, nationalism and patriotism can foster a sense of loyalty to one's country and culture and can contribute to the development of ethnocentrism. Finally, the influence of political leaders and movements can also contribute to the development of ethnocentrism.

Political leaders and movements that promote nationalism and patriotism can foster a sense of loyalty to one's own culture and can contribute to the development of ethnocentrism. The development of ethnocentrism can be traced to many factors, including cultural, social, historical, and psychological factors. Socialization is the process by which people learn the norms and values of their culture and can lead to the development of ethnocentric attitudes.

This legacy of conflict and dominance can result in the development of ethnocentric attitudes and the belief that one's own culture is superior to others. This process of categorization can lead to the development of stereotypes, which are oversimplified and exaggerated representations of a group of people. These stereotypes can be positive or negative and can lead to the development of ethnocentric attitudes.

In addition, the legacy of conflict and domination in history, along with psychological factors such as categorization and the need for a sense of identity, may also contribute to the development of ethnocentrism. The development of consumer ethnocentrism depends on the brand image and the country of origin of the products.

Brand Image-

Perceived quality-

Perceived value-

Brand Trust-

Purchase intention-

Nationalism-

Other studies have found nationalism to be good and positive feelings about one's own country and its ability to cross borders. Part of this may be consumers' emotional feelings about a country's traditional products, values, symbols and attributes. Ethnocentrism, nationalism of domestic products, as well as personal experience with foreign products can influence foreign products.

They also believe that this benefit improves the employment situation in their own country and helps to improve the economic situation of the country.

Socio-economic Conservatism-

Socioeconomic conservatives also tend to be skeptical of efforts to redistribute wealth or provide social welfare programs, as they believe such initiatives can create a culture of dependency and undermine individual initiative and responsibility. According to them, government intervention in the economy can be harmful, leading to inefficiency and creating disincentives for work and entrepreneurship. Many socioeconomic conservatives also believe in the importance of maintaining a strong national defense, as well as protecting property rights, the rights of individuals to freely associate, and the right to free speech.

They are generally in favor of free trade and believe in the importance of preserving the rule of law and a stable economic system. In addition to these general principles, socioeconomic conservatives often hold specific views on issues such as immigration, health care, and social welfare programs. For example, many conservatives are skeptical of proposals to increase immigration levels, believing such increases could put pressure on the labor market and social services.

In turn, they can support initiatives to provide tax credits or other incentives to individuals and businesses to encourage innovation and investment. Despite these general views, socioeconomic conservatism is a diverse and evolving ideology, and opinions on specific issues can vary widely even among those who identify as conservative. Some socioeconomic conservatives may also support policies such as minimum wage laws or social welfare programs, as long as these policies do not undermine individual initiative and responsibility.

Socio-economic conservatism is a political ideology that emphasizes the importance of preserving traditional values and institutions, while advocating limited government intervention in economic affairs. Proponents of this ideology believe in the importance of the free market, the rule of law, and individual initiative and responsibility, and tend to be skeptical of efforts to redistribute wealth or provide social welfare programs. While views on specific issues may differ, this ideology remains a powerful force in politics and policy, shaping debates and shaping outcomes around the world.

Protectionism-

Many jobs are created and it helps to develop the economy when we buy and sell goods or services from other countries. This positive economic activity is good until a country begins to restrict imports of goods and services from other countries.

Ultra-nationalism-

Today, ultranationalism remains a major force in many parts of the world, especially in countries experiencing economic and political turmoil.

Comparison-

To develop nationalism, the Bangladesh leather industry follows ether products, first, last and especially, focusing on cost and available leather products in the local market. Socio-economic conservatism those products are not available in Bangladesh leather industry that type of product should be imported.

Comparision

Ultra-nationalist people exalt narrow caste, region, and religion loyalties of self-identifying nations. As already mentioned in the abstract, the main objective of this project paper is consumer ethnocentrism in the Bangladeshi leather industry. In this project, the result of the paper showed that the local leather industry can meet their leather product needs.

The quality, service and brand image of Bangladeshi leather products all depend on the judgment of the country of origin. For promoting local leather products, foreign leather products should not be allowed in our local market. See all the result of Bangladeshi consumers buying local leather because Bangladeshi guys work abroad.
