I would also like to declare that this project paper or any part of it has not been shown elsewhere for any kind of certificate except the present one. I am pleased to confirm that the project report submitted to the Department of English, Daffodil International University has been prepared by Joy Khan who holds the Project Paper course ID (ENG 334). I am totally grateful to him for his enlightenment, encouragement and contribution in completing this project paper.

If it wasn't for him, this project paper could have been more difficult for me. This allows the student to act as author and initiator of his creative aspect of the learning process. The idea of this 'class observation' and 'class guidance' is to convey a certain idea and knowledge to the students.

Since then, DIU has progressed towards becoming the best private university in Bangladesh as well as Asia. Within a short period of time, DIU has become one of the best universities in Bangladesh. The university has been ranked 4th among all universities and 1st among all private universities in Bangladesh.

To complete this project assignment, the project assignment instructor assigned us to observe at least two classes and write observation reports for them.

Observation Report

But at the same time he kept asking them whether they understood the lesson or not. The introductory part lasted about 28 minutes where everyone, including our instructor, introduced the teacher to the class and met and greeted them. This was followed by some chatting with the students, which helped them to open up to the teacher.

It was also found beneficial for the teacher to create a friendly environment for his teaching. And in that respect, I think it could have done better, because sometimes it seems like it strayed from its main purpose. By asking them questions about themselves, he seems to have enabled them to participate more actively.

Since the topic of the class was Summary Writing, each slide was complete with examples and questions. But even with these circumstances, the effort that the teacher has shown to engage everyone is commendable. As it is a good thing to keep their morals in check also to encourage them to ask more and more.

They are a chance to point out that their mistake can demotivate them to ask questions even to stray away from the engagement. He could only let them know that there was another way to answer it which was obviously the right one and made them think about it. He was very confident in himself and what he tried to convey through his teaching.

Also asking the student about it was the perfect mix of a good communicative lesson. He didn't force the student to speak any specific language, they used what they felt comfortable while speaking, and even the teacher didn't put much effort into that aspect. He succeeded in creating an educational environment that also perfectly suited his teaching method. He really appealed to me. Overall I can say it was a well done entertaining show.

Class Observation Report - 2

The teacher sounded very confident while using both L1 and L2, she was very fluent in both languages. Although it appears that her lesson was planned in English, she used her L2 to describe and emphasize her lesson to the student. PowerPoint is the medium that the teacher chose to present his class to the students.

The subject of the class was very complex, but thanks to her, I saw that the student looked very interesting in subjects, even so some of them rushed the class to the end. At the very beginning of the class there was a small segment of the introductory part where the student and the teacher got to know each other and had small conversations with some students. The lesson plan and each slide was very informative, but there was also some room to add something, so she did a good job of pushing the students to get.

The material she brought to this class was very picturesque, although there were no photos on the slides. Everything she taught in class she used very clear and well thought out ways to explain throughout. She often kept asking about their real life that was relevant to the lesson she was teaching.

The teacher was successful enough to make them interact and communicate with each other also give an opinion about them, but we cannot say it is a group activity. Since the student seems to make a very limited number of mistakes, most of them were also just mistakes. Actually the teacher did not ask any questions about their lesson, not even any test of their understanding, the only question she seems to ask as we have seen, do they understand what she is saying or not.

Her teaching method was very engaging and at the same time very intriguing to listen to. Although the lesson was very complex, her discreet teaching style really helps the students to bond with the lecture. At the end of the lesson, the teacher seems very satisfied with how her lesson ended.

Class Conduction Report

Description

Significance of the Report

Trainee Teacher

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to – Learn about how to write essay for their academic purpose. Even though the situation is rather depressing these days, the aim is to make the lesson as enjoyable as possible. With this lesson, there is a groundbreaking experience on the way to step over the obstacle that may come.

There is also a challenge to create a student-friendly environment so that they get the most out of it. Communicative language teaching developed in the era of revolutions in British language teaching traditions from the late 1960s. Before communicative language teaching, situational language teaching was in practice in Britain for language teaching.

The teacher chooses this method because as we can see most of the students here basically never spoke L2 for their communication or learning. The teacher can use the grammar translation method if the students find some parts difficult to understand. The teacher or the same classmate was ready to take over the class as some disruptions may occur during the lesson.

With this online class there is always a chance for some type of occurrence that could occur. After completing the lesson, students will be able to write essays appropriately for their personal and academic uses. The student will be able to learn what the purpose of this topic is and how they can benefit from it.

The teacher tried to give what kind of lesson they could expect for today's class. Here in this part, the teacher will analyze the main theme of the lesson and ask questions regarding the lesion. Overall summary of the lesson and get them to think about what they are learning from today's lesson.

Teaching Experience

After entering the classroom, the teacher introduced him to the whole class and told them to be honest and attentive to the lesson. He also told them to be more approachable so that the trainee is more relaxed during the lesson. Then the counselor left the class, the intern started the class by greeting and asking about the students to make them feel at ease and in mind to create a friendly atmosphere.

For the development of this class, the intern used PowerPoint Presentation, also help from internet research. Inter already had in mind that he would use L1 as his dominant language for this lesson, since most of the students here are still freshers. He explained the topics and often gave or asked some small questions about the lesson.

Despite repeated requests from the intern, he was unable to get participation from the entire class. Which is "Review," the intern thought it would do the students some good to remind them, if only for a moment. After he says the class is dismissed and everyone can ask anything about their lesson today.

A small amount of time was then spent on this answer and question session. The intern then appreciated the entire class for making this successful and also working with him. This indicates that the students can leave the classroom if they wish, since the lesson has already ended.
