Therefore, it is very important to assess whether broiler farming contributes positively to the socio-economic development of broiler farmers or not. To make a brief conclusion and recommendations for the improvement of broilers in the area under consideration. 2009 showed that the overall monthly payment (determined by deducting the costs incurred in raising broilers from the total yield).
Beak Trimming
It's a good idea to start with about 70mm of litter and build it up over time. Adding litter weakens the droppings and the condition of the litter improves. Levels above 50 pm affect the lining of the airways, affect breathing and can also cause visual impairment (Sainsbury, 1993).
Waste Handling
Litter is largely a combination of feces, litter, discarded food, feathers and a piece of soil. Of the small farm owners, 20% of them could not use their poultry litter for a specific work, 40% of them sold their poultry litter on the lookout, 30% of them used their poultry litter for growing crops and 10% of them used their poultry litter for the fishing culture. About half of the medium-sized farm.
Record keeping
This suppression region can be used for a wide range of wastes, including litter from most poultry farms and unborn eggs from hatchery facilities. Mymensingh and Gazipur regions to distinguish the poultry waste material and how to know their removal technique in Bangladesh.

Thus, positive changes in household income occurred due to the adoption of broiler farming in Birampur Upazila. The percentage of exchange of cash in hand and savings with banks has been increased by the adoption of broiler farming. The selected broiler farms were 3 categorized according to number of birds raised under a group of broiler farming practices.
All the farmers reported that they adopted the above vaccines in time in each group of broiler farming systems in the study area for better performance and reduction of mortality of birds. In this study, the highest VVV per bird was found 1.67 in flock-1, while it was found the lowest 1.63 in flock-2 indicating that flock-2 is better than other 2 flocks (Table-17). Mortality rate is defined as the number of birds that die under a batch up to marketing age divided by the number of starting number of birds in a batch of broiler farming which is expressed as a percentage.
The company with flock size 2 therefore performs better in the field of company management (Table -17). Figure 10 shows the flock-wise graphical representation of the average BPEF and BFEI per bird from broiler farms. In this study, the return per bird is estimated by adding all sales revenues from rearing per bird during an examination of a specific batch of broiler chicken farms in relation to all required husbandry costs.
With the findings of the above review, it was found that the production cost of live broilers per bird, even per kg, is lower than when raising broilers with a flock size of 2.
Chart Title
Per bird return of broiler farming
The data in the Table-20 indicates that the overall gross return per bird is Tk. 2016) reported that 97.75 percent of the gross proceeds obtained were from the sale of broiler birds. Kumar (2016) reported that 97.86 and 77.97 percent of the gross return was from the sale of broiler birds, while Rs.69.13 and Rs.6.41 were the gross return per kilogram of broiler live weight on non-contract and contract farming systems, respectively.
Reddy (2016) reported that 97.90 and 84.18 percent of the gross returns came from the sale of broilers, while Rs.64.83 and Rs.4.87 were the gross returns per head. kg on non-contract and contract breeding systems respectively. 2017) reported that in contract farming, 6.46 Rs. 6.46 gross return per Reddy (2016) reported that the net return was Rs 8.84. and Rs.1.51. 1.51 for non-contract and contract farms, which is consistent with the findings of this study. Kumar (2016) reported that Rs.7.15 and Rs.1.99 were the net returns in non-contract and contract farming respectively.
Figure 09 shows the graphical representation of the costs and revenues per animal, flock by flock, on average in broiler farming. Figure 10: Graphical representation of the costs and revenues per animal of broiler chickens. This research shows that the companies under flock size 2 perform relatively well than those of other flocks when it comes to the costs and returns of production per bird. .
Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR)
Data Analysis
It was observed that there was no significant mean difference of all variables for herd size. It shows that body weight was positively significantly correlated with feed intake, cost per bird, yield per bird, net profit and cost benefit ratio (CBR). On the other hand, body weight was negatively significantly correlated with feed price and feed turnover ratio (FTR).

CHAPTER-V
PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF BROILER FARMING
Problems of broiler farming in Birampur Upazila
- Irregular supply and fluctuation of price of chicks and live broiler
- Variability in chick quality
- Variability in feed quality
- Un-organized marketing system
- Summer stress affecting productivity and survivability
- Treatment of diseases
- Insufficient bank loan
- Lack of quality vaccine
- Poor National policy
- Impact of COVID-19 on broiler farming
Nevertheless, countermeasures are a way to achieve success in the fight against infections (Chowdhury, 1984). Financial institutions have lost interest in encouraging farmers to raise poultry and collect their credit. The infection episode was one of the important requirements for the progress of barbecue cultivation in Birampur.
These diseases were prevented by appropriate inoculation adapted to the region of investigation, but the excessive cost of antibodies, ill-advised capacity, and inaccessible stock hinder the avoidance of the spread of diseases in the region of investigation. There are also some problems in poultry farming in the study areas, such as Covid-19 has terribly disturbed the poultry establishment and created an undesirable stalemate between interest and supply of poultry items.
A particular impact of COVID-19 on the poultry sector was a change in the cost of live chickens and eggs prior to, during and after the lockdown (January-June 2020). According to BPICC (2020), the total setback in the poultry sector is around 7000 crores and around 25-30% of the business visionaries lost their functioning capital over the course of the last 4/5 months due to Covid-19.
Prospects of broiler farming
- Generate additional income
- Profitable Cash earning business
- Treat as a profession
- Treat Broiler as an industry
- Need less and short duration capital
- Increase importance of Broiler Farming in Bangladesh
Negative consequences have been observed in the creation of corporate grills, birds and it was significantly more extreme in the period April to June 2020. The conclusion of schools, eateries, shops and markets, restrictions on open gatherings and travel have reduced interest in pet items ( Marchant -Forde and Boyle, 2020). These elements drove the overcrowding or separation of animals and animal objects (Huffstutter, 2020), with farmers wiping out their farms to reduce the costs of maintaining the animal populations they could not feed or exchange (Barrett, 2020).
Broiler farmers respond that oven operation is an extra payment within their existing residence. It was clear that the whole of the minimal and small homestead holders considered cultivation as an extra payment (Miah, 1990). Pandey and Tewary, (1985) state that broiler farming is a profession and many people are involved in this sector.
At the present time, barbeque cultivation is a decent method to meet the protein hole, business age, and relief in the lack of conceivable time. In this way, oven farming is one of the most significant emerging agro-based ventures in the country.
CHAPTER-VI
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Facilities of the institutional progress to the owners of poultry farms should be made with the aim that they can get the credit on simple terms. Mindfulness should be created against the use of such antibiotics or antibiotic development advertisers. Intensive preventive management practices should be adopted by farmers to get rid of broiler marketing due to disease attack.
Steps must be taken to ensure the delivery of medicines and vaccines at the right time and at reasonable prices. In the study areas, the selected traders require a suitable and well-developed transport system for the transportation of broilers. Reasonable price of feed: To solve the feed problem, most of the traders in the sample suggested that the government and non-governmental organizations should play an important role in providing sufficient broiler feed in the country, that the traders should feed at a reasonable price could buy. .
Although all the farmers faced many problems in raising and marketing broiler chickens under unorganized farming system, it could still be concluded that raising and marketing broiler chickens is a profitable venture. The private sector alone is not enough to develop this business without government support and its necessary intervention in the development of infrastructural facilities and the broiler market.
