ABSTRACT
Tourism is a sector which holds an important part in the economy of
Indonesia.
It
can be the source of foreign exchange earning and can create the job and
enlarge the employment opportunities for the people, especially for the people who
live in tourism resorts.
North Sumatera is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has a big potency

tourism sector,
such as the scenic beauty, unlimited estate and agribusiness
potency, unique culture, rich varieties of vegetables and fruits, forests and volcanoes
ini Bukit Barisan mountains, flora and fauna, the world's second biggest lake of
Toba, the powerful Sigura-gura falls, rivers and coasts with abundant fish and bio
varieties, etc. With this big potency, the tourism sector has been made as one of the
main priority ofNorh Sumatera'regional development.
The development of this sector increased variously every year.
It
can be seen
by the number of tourists arrivals that noted a meaningful increase. This increase will
surely make a positive influence to the economy of North Sumatera Province. One of
the positive influence can be seen in .Gross Regional Domestic Product of North
Sumatera. In order to get a better increase in the income of North Sumatera Gross
Regional Domestic Product, all the potency and the natural resources that this region
has, need to be used maximally and the tourism facilities need to be improved. In this
case, the participation of the whole parts in this province is also needed greatly.
