The purpose of this research is to explore chitinolytic bacteria that have potential antagonism as biocontrol agents against Fusarium wilt. The research was conducted at Plant Disease Laboratory, Department of Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan from august 2016 to March 2017. It was arrange by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) non Factorial with fourty nine treatments and three replications. The results showed chitinolytic bacteria potential as biological agents to control Fusarium wilt in vitro. The highest percentage of inhibiting zone was produced by filtrate of isolate samosir b 50% (78,00%) and lowest percentage was produced by isolate bakara a and bakara b (42,67%).

Sri Kemala Dewi. 2016. Uji Efektivitas Bakteri Kitinolitik terhadap Penyakit Layu Fusarium pada Tanaman Bawang Merah. Dibimbing oleh Hasanuddin dan Lahmudin Lubis.
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bakteri kitinolitik yang memiliki potensi antagonisme yang dapat digunakan sebagai agens hayati mengendalikan penyakit layu Fusarium. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan, Program Studi Agroekoteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan dari bulan Agustus 2016 sampai dengan Maret 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non Faktorial dengan empat puluh sembilan perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bakteri kitinolitik berpotensi agen hayati untuk mengendalikan Fusarium secara in vitro. Persentase daya hambat tertinggi dihasilkan oleh filtrat dari isolat samosir b 50% (78,00%) dan persentase terendah dihasilkan oleh isolat bakara a dan bakara b (42,67).
