YUNITA PANJAITAN. Eksplorasi Tumbuhan Beracun Di Hutan Lindung Simandar Desa Tanjung Berigin 1 Kecamatan Sumbul Kabupaten Dairi Sumatera Utara.
ABSTRACT
YUNITA PANJAITAN. Exploration Of Poisonous Plants In Preserved Forest, Tanjung Beringin 1 Region, Sumbul, Dairi, North Sumatera. Under academic supervised by YUNUS AFIFUDDIN and LAMEK MARPAUNG.
Poisonous plant species diversity in Indonesia have not been explored as a potential source of biopesticide. Preserved Forest in Simandar as one of the biodiversity of poisonous plants need to be explored. The study aimed was the identification of poisonous plants, analysis of diversity, Shannon index-Wienner modeling, and phytochemical analysis to determine the content of alkaloids, terpenes, flavonoids, saponins and tannins. The research location is in Preserved Forest, Tanjung Beringin 1 Region, Subdistrict Sumbul, Dairi, North Sumatera, in September to December 2016. The identification results obtained 8 species of poisonous plants with different levels (understory, seedlings, saplings, poles, and trees).
The result of vegetation analysis is Sempuyung which dominates all levels of plants. The content dominant on poisonous plants in preserve Forest in subdistrict of Sumbul predominantly of terpene. Hati Lando (Deccana pubescens), Sempuyung (Hibiscus heterophyllus Nakai), and Silam-lam bau (Cildemia hirta BL) contain flavonoids, saponins and tannins. Potential of poisonous plants as biopesticide is the species of Tuba jonong (Derris eliliptica Benth), Hati lando (Deccana pubescens Roth), Silam-lam bau (Clidemia hirta BL), Langge (Homalomena propinqua), Latong andorsari (Urtical dioca L), Sempuyung (Hibiscus heterophyllus Nakai), and Latong anduri (Litsea leefeana ).
