PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN BERBAGAI ADITIF DALAM SILASE RUMPUT GAJAH (Pennisetum purpureum) CV. TAIWAN TERHADAP KECERNAAN BAHAN KERING DAN BAHAN

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan berbagai aditif dalam silase rumput Gajah (Pennisetum purpureum) CV terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik (in vitro). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Oktober sampai dengan November 2012 di Saung Hanjuang, Cijeruk, Pamulihan. Pengujian sampel untuk dianalisa kimia dilakukan di Laboratorium Nutrisi Ternak Ruminansia dan Kimia Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan terdiri dari lima jenis perlakuan, yaitu P1 (Rumput Gajah dengan molases 5%), P2 (Rumput Gajah
dengan tepung jagung 6,8%), P3 (Rumput Gajah dengan dedak 6,5%), P4
(Rumput Gajah dengan tepung gaplek 4,2%), P5 (Rumput Gajah dengan
tepung tapioka 3,9%) dengan 4 pengulangan. Perlakuan berdasarkan standarisasi BETN molases 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan molases sebagai aditif menghasilkan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik yang nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan aditif lain. Kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik adalah 61,21% dan 61,87%.

ABSTRACT
The reasearch was aimed to know the effect additional of various additives in the elephant grass silage (Pennisetum purpureum) CV Taiwan on dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility (in vitro). This reasearch was conducted from October - November 2012 at Saung Hanjuang small group farmer, Cijeruk, Pamulihan. Testing of samples for chemical analysis conducted in the Laboratory of Ruminant Nutrition and Feed Chemistry, Animal Husbandry Faculty of Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang. Completely Randomized Design was used in this reasearch. The reasearch was conducted through five threatments with four repetitions. They were : P1 (Elephant Grass with molasses 5%), P2
(Elephant Grass with cornstarch 6.8%), P3 (Elephant Grass with bran
6.5%), P4 (Elephant Grass with cassava flour 4.2%), P5 (Elephant Grass
with tapioca flour 3.9%). The treatment based on standardization Nitrogen Free Ekstract (NFE) 5% molasses. The results showed that the addition of molasses as an additive produced dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility were significantly (P <0.05) higher than other additives. Dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility is (61,21%) and (61,87%)
