This article examines the conflict surrounding the establishment of the At-Taqwa Muhammadiyah Mosque in Sangso Village, Samalanga Sub-District, Bireuen District, Aceh Province. Interestingly, the construction of a mosque should refer to local wisdom in a settlement in Aceh, causing a dispute over the construction of At-Taqwa Muhammaddiyah Mosque in Sangso Village, Samalanga Sub-District, Bireuen District, Aceh Province-Indonesia. The climax of this conflict was the burning of the recitation center and the construction of the Et-Taqwa mosque of Muhammadiyah (Nirzalin et all, 2017).

Also, the Islamic group Muhammaddiyah Sangso tried to find a way so that the construction of the At-Taqwa Mosque could continue. So that the mosque has another meaning, which is to actualize it as one of the local wisdom in the construction and construction of mosques in Aceh. The data collection in this study was through observation, especially regarding mosques and local wisdom in Samalanga, and then a study on the construction of the At-Taqwa Muhammaddiyah Sangso Mosque in Samalanga.

Also in the Indonesian context, the rejection of the construction of a mosque in Samalanga Aceh is a reality that requires more attention. However, it is not without reason, in connection with opposition or rejection of the construction of the Muhammaddiyah Sangso Samalanga Mosque so far. This clearly contradicts the custom and local wisdom of the Samalanga community that the construction of mosques must refer to the mukim permit.

Although different reasons were expressed by the chairman of the construction of the mosque Muhammadiyah Sangso Samalanga.

CONCLUSION

First, it is related to the existence of Baiturraham Grand Mosque in Samalanga District, which is targeted and connected to four villages, namely Keude Aceh Village, Sangso Pante Rheng and Meuliek. Secondly, so far, out of the 21 Shafs of the great mosque of Baiturraham Samalanga, only 9 shafs have been filled and a large number of the congregation attending the great mosque are residents of Sangso and Pante Rheng as Friday experts, because they have a population density of 2. other villages. This reality shows that, if the construction and construction of a new mosque is carried out, it will reduce the habit of the congregation to pray the Friday prayer at the Baiturraham Samalanga Grand Mosque.

So far, he has not given permission or support to mukim because it is against the local wisdom and the general condition of the people of Samalanga that they refuse to build a mosque. Yahya (2020) states that "the construction of the Sangso Mosque is not against local wisdom", in fact the establishment and construction of the At-Taqwa Muhammaddiyah Mosque did not receive the support of the Geuchiek village government and the local mukim. But if the At-Taqwa Muhammaddiyah Mosque was built, the congregation would pray more in the At-Taqwa Muhammaddiyah Mosque.

Another thing that the Muhammadiyah Sangso group fears is the disruption of the dominance of religious understanding and the authority of the traditional Islamic elite in Samalanga.

    • RESISTANCE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MUHAMMADIYAH MOSQUE
  • CONCLUSION

The climax of this conflict was the burning of the recitation center and the construction of Muhammadiyah's At-Taqwa Mosque [6]. The existence and mission of the two religious factions cannot be separated from the difference in interests and understanding in representing the meaning of local wisdom. Conflicts related to the norms of building a mosque can be triggered by the insufficient communication of the parties related to local wisdom about the construction of mosques in Samalanga.

This location was chosen because the dispute over the construction of a mosque was contrary to local wisdom in Aceh, this conflict ended with the burning of the recitation hall and the building pile of At-. This is inculcated in the context of the Samalanga community's understanding of the construction of mosques and must refer to the permission of the local mukim authority as a form of local wisdom in any mosque construction in any settlement. To give rise to the spirit and order of equilibrium development of the world and the hereafter.

Mosques in the early days of the Islamic era were covered only with tamarind leaves, built on the most basic level but with a large infill. The resistance and action against the construction of the Muhammaddiyah Mosque in the village of Sangso is a reality that represents a large-scale horror in the life of the world community today. Islam and democracy are key to their quality of life and the future progress of the Muslim world [19].

Considering the local wisdom of the local community regarding the existence of the Baiturrun mosque, we understand Keude Aceh as a mosque in the district of Samalanga which is relatively close to the construction site of the At-taqwa Muhammaddiyah Sangso mosque, as long as the local community has not agreed for the establishment permit, there will be a delay. This is consistent with the author's interview with Imum Syiek Mesjid Besar (Grand Imam), Samalanga [20], that "if the At-taqwa Muhammaddiyah mosque continues its establishment and development, it will harm the local wisdom of the Samalanga people". There are two basic reasons related to the construction of al-Taqwa mosque which can destroy the local wisdom.

34; the construction of the Sangso mosque is not against local wisdom", in fact, the establishment and construction of the At-Taqwa Muhammaddiyah mosque did not receive support from the Geuchiek village government and local mukim. The resistance and action of the Samalanga community against the construction of the At-taqwa mosque Muhammadiyah Sangso was motivated by violations of custom and customs because it was against the local wisdom of the Samalanga community. Another reason is that the refusal to build the at-takwa mosque was done because she was worried about the dominance of religious understanding and the authority of the elite traditional Islamic, which is the majority group in Samalanga.

The research team would like to thank the Ministry of Research and Technology/The National Agency for Research and Innovation, especially the Directorate for Research and Community Services, for the funds given to this research. Rector Universitas Malikussaleh and the chairman of Universitas Malikussaleh Research and Community Service, who facilitated and supported the implementation of this research. Finally, the leaders of Aswaja and As-Sunnah Samalanga Bireuen as well as the communities of the two groups who have received the research team so that exploration of the roots of the conflict between the two groups can be explored and found.

Mosque and Local Wisdom in Aceh

Studies on Conflict of Establishing Mosque At-Taqwa

Muhammadiyah in Sangso Samalanga-Bireuen-Aceh-Indonesia) Nirzalin 1,* Fakhrurrazi 2 Yogi Febriandi 3 Rizki Yunanda 4

The resistance and rejection of the traditional Islamic community of Samalanga against the establishment of the Muhammaddiyah Mosque in Sangso village has led to social conflict between the traditional Islamic religious groups and the Muhammaddiyah community. The traditional Islamic group Samalanga, meanwhile, continues to try to prevent the construction of the mosque because it goes against local wisdom in Aceh. In general, local wisdom can be understood as ideas and local values that are wise, full of wisdom, good values that are embedded and followed by community members.

This location was chosen because the dispute over the construction of a mosque was contrary to local wisdom in Aceh, this conflict ended with the burning of the recitation hall and the building pile of the Attaqwa Muhammadiyah Sangso Mosque on October 17, 2017. In addition, this attracted location also the author's attention because it was located in. Meanwhile, Sangso Village is located precisely in the middle of the Islamic dayah (pesantren) thought center, where the majority of the population are followers of the intergenerational Muhammadiyah Islamic thought.

According to him, the duties and functions of the mukim for the first time only deal with the administration and management of mosques as a means of worship for Muslims. Thus, the two institutions of mukim and mosque in the Samalanga community cannot be separated, mosques arise out of the need for the community's aqidah / sharia values. The mosque is the center of administration, the center of community socialization, the center of economic activity, the muamalat, the counseling center, the best place to nurture ukhwah and the spirit of the ummah to create esprit de corps.

The resistance and the action during the rejection of the construction of the Muhammaddiyah mosque in the village of Sangso is a reality that presents an extensive horror significance. The mass action and refusal to build mosques actually flourished and threatened the sustainability of the peace that flourished in the Acehnese society. Namely Banda Aceh District Administrative Court, Medan Administrative Court and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, which temporarily postponed the construction of At-taqwa Sangso Mosque, Samalanga District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province.

According to Qanun Meukuta Alam, the establishment of mosques in Aceh refers to the provision of settlements, namely a combination of at least 5 or 13 villages (villages), this provision is one of the local wisdoms that generally apply in Aceh, especially the Samalanga community. The determination of the number of forty people as jum'at experts is in accordance with the relevant provisions of the syafi'i mazhab as the mazhab observed by the people of Aceh in general. The existence of mosques and local wisdom in the Samalanga community is almost the same as in Aceh in general.
