Events policy for the website
The events policy that our group drafted has been posted to the library website.
Promotion of library meeting rooms
Steve agreed to post an announcement to Alfred Today about the availability of rooms in Herrick for meetings, group projects, studying, events, etc. A draft announcement was circulated some time ago, but should perhaps be circulated again since we lost track of input from the group.
Found Object Installation
The library hosted an “opening” for the Found Object Installation on Thursday, February 23. There was a good turnout of students and faculty.
Team Trivia
The first Team Trivia event of the semester had about 25 participants. A second event is planned for Saturday, March 31. Steve will be there.
Movie Night
Steve is still considering another movie night, and thinking about possible films.
Movies from the Archives
We discussed the possibility of showing films from the AU archives during alumni weekend (June 10?). This kind of event would require some planning and
coordination.
Other possible events
We also discussed the possibility of holding an edible books event, again offering massages during finals, and possibly incorporating therapy dogs or yoga into our finals week offerings.
