Although farming has always played a role in Laura BrunEr's life, the Wauseon, Ohio, native hesitated when her family urged her to join her local FFA chapter. Bruner believes it has the potential to help fight world hunger in third world countries because it is cheap, easy to maintain and has high nutritional values. Here she realized she can help create crops that are commercially viable in the global economy.

I would like to use my education in third world countries to teach people how to use agriculture to sustain themselves. Bruner is the daughter of Daniel and Jo Bruner and is a member of the Pettisville FFA where her advisor is John Poulson. After graduating from Oklahoma State University, where he majored in agribusiness, Schnaithman plans to return to the farm as a full-time production farmer.

The time he spent in the "quiet chair" and in the principal's office began to decrease, and I watched as his relationships with his classmates grew stronger each week. The student who falls behind in class because he isn't paying attention at home and feels like no one else cares. What if we use these things to help meet these needs around us.

It was amazing to see the natural abilities and talents of these members emerge and then be put to use as they worked to feed thousands of hungry people in Washington, D.C. If you're good at sports, consider coaching that kid in elementary school who doesn't have an older brother or dad to help him learn the tricks of the trade. Have you ever thought about working in a homeless shelter or traveling abroad to help a struggling village in Africa get back on its feet.

You see, it's about using our gifts and talents every day in what may seem like small ways, while always looking for big ways to use those talents.

Today is "The Day I'm Gonna Be Big." My classmates and I dress the way we want to become.” Without thinking twice, I dressed as the person I wanted to be and left. Matt stood up in his overalls and said he was going to be the richest, biggest beef cattle rancher. You may be wondering, “What if people laugh at me when I sit down?

When we doubt, we lose a moment to gain knowledge of what we should become. After transitioning from ATV racing, I wanted more insight into what I needed to become. His first question was, "What are you going to be?" I began to share some of my frustrations.

Like Devin, we all have moments that make us question who we are meant to be.

I was too worried about what other people thought of me to be part of the solution. To be part of the solution, we need to stop caring what other people think. Now, teacher, I know right now, you're probably a little worried about the next thing that's going to come out of my mouth.

I tell your students to stop worrying about what others think, and you worry about how they will react. Brady, you gotta do it together, son.' I looked her in the eyes and said. I'm sorry if I disappointed you.” At that moment, she responded without hesitation, “Brady, there never has been and there never will be. I am disappointed in you.

I'm guessing most of you have seen a guinea pig before and are thinking, "I don't know what you grow in California, but guinea pigs everywhere else have short legs." When I expressed these concerns to Graham, he replied, "Kari, this is where the industry is going." Of course, this is completely logical.

To learn more about international agriculture, four FFA members signed up as host families. Well-prepared FFA members were then able to increase their experience and gain a deeper understanding of international agriculture, economics and education. To increase public awareness of FFA and connect the school with the community, Norris FFA members created a 70-acre outdoor learning laboratory.

To further improve the well-being of their community, Norris FFA members also helped an ailing local vineyard owner. Twenty percent of Ponchatoula FFA members in Ponchatoula, la., have special needs, so chapter advisors worked hard to provide members with the opportunity to develop successful supervised agricultural experience programs. The chapter started a partner-based program where FFA members of all abilities care for and train therapy dogs.

The chapter also helped with efforts to clean up the river by building a screen to prevent trash from flowing downstream.
