1. Countable noun
Countable noun adalah benda yang dapat dihitung. Misalnya, menghitung satu buku, lima buku, sepuluh buku, dan seterusnya. Countable noun dapat berupa singular (kata benda tunggal) atau plural (kata benda jamak). Contoh dari countable noun : candy, sandwich, dan burger. Dapat memberi awalan article ‘a’/ ’an’ atau ‘one’ pada kata benda tunggal.
Sedangkan pada kata benda jamak dapat beri awalan ‘two’, ‘three’, dan seterusnya.
Menambahkan imbuhan ‘s’/ ‘es’ di akhir kata untuk kata benda jamak.

Uncountable noun adalah benda yang tidak dapat dihitung. Benda-benda dalam uncountable noun hanya ada satu bentuk, tidak ada bentuk singular dan plural-nya. Contoh uncountable noun ada milk, rice dan chocolate.
