JARANAN DANCE (KUDA LUMPING)

Is one of the Java community traditional art, based on its history, Jaranan first appeared around 1041 AD during the reign of King Airlangga in Kediri (Kahuripan). Jaranan is an art dance that uses an instrument from bamboo that shaped like a horse. This art show dancers movement on top of woven bamboo horse called Jaran Kepang. This dance is accompanied by a variety of gamelan instruments such as gongs, drums, trumpet, and others. This art has a magical side so that there is someone who called pawang to handle if the dancers possessed or lose consciousness.

Reog is a traditional dance that is type of a grooved folklore. It describes a meeting between King Kelono Suwandono from the Kingdom of Bantar Anggun and King Singo Barong from the Kingdom of Lodoyo. The second meeting occurred due for the fulfill the requirements contest from the Songgo Langit daughter. She is the daughter from the Kingdom of Kediri, that is known to be very beautiful. Ludruk is one of genre theater in East Java. It is a form of traditional performance which is presented by a troupe of actors (or comedians) on stage, telling the story of someone daily life and their struggles. Its origin is unclear, but is believed the early 13th century. Dialogue or monologue in ludruk mostly comedy. The actors are almost always using Surabaya dialect.

Sparkling Surabaya Dance is a modern dance creation, which arise in the midst a heterogeneous society in Surabaya, and urban art background. Sparkling dance movements formed its own modern style, referring to the East Javanese dance movements that developed in the Metropolis. Sparkling Surabaya Dance movement eventu- ally became a welcome dance for visitors who come to Surabaya. The mosque was built between the years 1870-1872 is the second largest mosque in the city of Surabaya. The building which has an ancient Javanese architectural style combined with elements of Arabic. Where has the unique form of 16 pillars made of teak wood 17 feet in length without joints. Figures 17 shows the number of rakaah in a day. variety of vegetables (spinach, long beans, bean sprouts), various fruits (kedondong, young mango, starfruit, pineap- ple, jicama and cucumber) and fried tempeh, fried tofu, rice cake and do not miss "Cingur" as a characteristic ingredient salad.
