INTRODUCTION

• Combination of three courses that offered in this semester:

– KJ 3333 System Dynamics

(Prof Dr-Ing Nik Abdullah & Dr Sallehuddin)

– KJ 3933 Machine Component Design

(PM Dr Nordin Jamaludin & PM Dr Shahrum Abdullah) – KJ 3143 Engineering Thermodynamic

(Dr Taib Iskandar Mohamad)

• Students are distributed into 13 groups (5 members for each group).

• Each group is supervised by one supervisor (lecturer).

• Each student should provide a project proposal approved by the supervisor before carrying out the work.

• Each group is required to meet the supervisor at least once during the project in order to report the progress and discuss the project’s problems.

• Week 8 - Briefing (26^th August 2009)

• Week 9 - Project Proposal (due 2^nd September 2009)

• Week 14 - Submitted the final project’s report (Due date : 16^th October 2009 – Friday )

• Week 14 - Oral Presentation (14-15^th October 2009)

Report must be written according to the following order:

• Report must be written in the following order:-

1) Introduction

3) Dynamic Analyses -- KJ333

4) Mechanical Analyses – KJ 3933

5) Thermodynamic Analysis – KJ 3143 6) Design/Layout the system

7) Discussion and Conclusion 8) Reference and appendix

PRESENTATION

Group presentation will be held in between 6th - 10th October 2008.

• 10 minutes per presentation and 20 minutes for Q&A.

• Presentation material must be copied into pen-drive and CD

• The exact group presentation schedule will be confirmed later.
