In
this study the motivators, barriers and facilitatorsin
prenatalcare access and utilization
will
be oramined and were able to isolatetheir
impactin
prenatal care. The study employed a descriptive cross-sectional design in an attempt to know, explore, identify, and analyzethe
motivators, barriers and facilitatorsin
prenatal care access and utilization among post-partum women. The respondents of the snrdy were the patients from various government hospitals inPampanga, Philippines. Through convenience sampling, 101, post- parhrm patients were recruited
in the
study. The questionnaire consisted of closed-ended questions regarding motivators, barriersand
facilitatorsin
prenatalcare accss and utilization.
The questionnaire was also usedto
gather data on socio-demographic characteristics and the timing, and settingof
prenatal care. The study zupplements to some degree the understanding of aspects that contribute to a lack of correspondence in prenatal care utilization in Pampanga. The
resultsled to the
knowledgeof the
socio- demographic and prenatal care related characteristicsof
post-partum women that impact prenatal care access and utilization. The barriers that were significant increased the likelihood
or
oddsof
inadequate prenatal care. Seven motivators
cut the
chances of inadequate prenatal care andthus had a
protecting outcome.Postpartum women more likely needed to errtend help that indicate the facilitators such as getting assistance with child care, home visit, financial and emotional support that would have been of assistance
to them in
acquiring more prenatal care.It is
recommended, therefore that a further validation of the tool be g6mpleted using bigger random sample. Keywords: motivators, barriers, facilitators, prenatal care, access, utilization, post-partum
