JPA Announces Its Environmental Action Plan

The Committed Action Plan initially set the target of expanding forest plantation area owned or managed by member companies at home and abroad to 550 thousand hectares by fiscal 2010. The forest plantation area of JPA member companies is 690 thousand hectares in fiscal 2010, significantly exceeding the target. Now member companies are working toward the achievement of the new target of 800 thousand hectares by fiscal 2020. The total amount of carbon accumulation in forests owned or managed by member companies at the end of fiscal 2010 is 178 million tons.

Action Plan in Developing Sea Turtle Conservation as Ecotourism Attraction in Sukamade, Meru Betiri National Park

Sukamade Coastal Area located in Meru Betiri National Park has particular object as ecotourism attraction, i.e. Sea Turtle. On the other hand, national park management use the cross subsidy from ecotourism activities to promote the conservation action plans for the survival of sea turtle. This study was aimed to formulate action plans to develop the sea turtle conservation as ecotourism attraction in Sukamade Coastal Area. Field observation was conducted to evaluate the current activities of the sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities in Sukamade. Semi-structured interview and secondary data collection was also conducted to support the formulation of the action plan. Data was analyzed by SWOT method to be developed into action plan. Results showed that the management of sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities in Sukamade Coastal Area has been attempted to meet the conservation concept for sea turtle but also beneficial for the ecotourism implementation. However, we recommend a long term and short term action plan for the sustainability of the sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities in Sukamade Coastal area. It includes the mangrove restoration, sea turtle feed development, mapping of sea turtle distribution and migration, the use of up to date biotechnology, workshop on conservation management, and the development of research facility in the area. Additional to the current policy on sea turtle conservation and ecotourism activities, the action plan that we recommended were expected to improve the sustainability management in Sukamade Coastal Area.

Jadi seperti yang telah dikhawatirkan pada uraian sebelumnya, hasil yang diberikan hanya mengarah untuk kepentingan ilmu arkeologi saja. Dengan tujuan akhir ini, akhirnya RIA baru dapat dikategorikan sebagai action plan dan belum mengarah pada suatu rencana penataan ruang secara menyeluruh seperti diharapkan RIA. Mengingat itu apakah istilah RIA tetap akan dipertahankan, atau mengubah eksistensinya menjadi action plan archeology.

Abstract his research aims to identify various coastal and settlement typology as the basis to determine action plan for reducing tsunami risk. he action plan were issued by referring to priority level of tsunami management. Comparative analysis was applied through comparing diferent coastal and settlement typology at the selected coastal area, considering the tsunami risk zones determined by National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). he results show that mitigation strategies can be distinguished in various coastal and settlement typology for each priority area, i.e. in Mentawai megathrust, Sunda Strait and the southern part of Java, Bali region and Nusa Tenggara, and Papua region. he components of action plan should be conducted in accordance with the priority level of each region.

LAND ACQUSITION AND RESETTLEMENT ACTION PLAN

Jakarta Urgent Flood Mitigation Project-JUFMP merupakan inisiatif bersama antara Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Pemerintah Pusat, dalam hal ini Kementerian PU (sekarang Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat), dan Bank Dunia dalam upaya penanganan banjir di Jakarta. Pengendalian banjir di Jakarta membutuhkan rehabilitasi besar terhadap sungai, kanal dan waduk. Rehabilitasi harus disertai perencanaan pengelolaan banjir untuk memastikan sistem beroperasi secara optimum. Hasil simulasi pasca banjir 2007 menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan fisik di 12 kanal/sungai dan 4 waduk utama di Jakarta dengan mengembalikan sistem dan fungsi pengendalian banjir sesuai desain awal, diperkirakan akan mengurangi 40% luas genangan banjir atau dapat mengamankan sekitar 1 juta warga Jakarta. Sungai/Kanal dan Waduk yang ditangani adalah Sunter (Sunter Atas dan Sunter Bawah), Cengkareng Drain, Ciliwung-Gunung Sahari, Sentiong-Sunter, Waduk Melati, Cideng-Thamrin, Waduk Sunter Selatan, Waduk Sunter Timur III, Waduk Sunter Utara, Angke Bawah, Tanjungan, Banjir Kanal Barat, Grogol-Sekretaris, Pakin-Kali Besar-Jelakeng, Krukut – Cideng dan Semongol (Kamal). Namun, pekerjaan pengerukan Kanal/Sungai dan waduk di Jakarta juga berpotensi menimbulkan dampak sosial berupa terkenanya bangunan milik warga dan pemindahan warga penghuni kawasan yang diperlukan untuk pekerjaan pengerukan. Salah satu potensi dampak terjadi terhadap warga yang menempati badan air (Tanah Negara) di Sunter Atas drain. Untuk itu, Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, dalam hal ini PIU Dinas Tata Air menyusun Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan (LARAP) untuk kegiatan dimaksud.

PT. MADIDIHANG FRESHINDO merupakan perusahaan eksportir ikan tuna segar. Produk yang diekspor adalah ikan tuna segar utuh, dan ikan tuna loin segar. Tuna loin segar sering terjadi komplain dari customer atau negara importir dimana daging ikan setelah diterima oleh customer sering terjadi perubahan warna ikan menjadi tidak segar lagi dan tekstur ikan yang pecah dan lembek Metode yang digunakan adalah metode PDCA, dimana Perencanaan (Plan) melakukan pengamatan di unit pengolahan ikan dimulai dari awal pemeriksaan ikan sampai produk akhir. Perbaikan (Do) yang dilakukan adalah pengetatan pada saat pembelian ikan, penambahan bak penampung ikan, perbaikan mesin pendingin ruangan, penetapan alur proses dan penambahan dry ice di sterofoam pada saat proses pengemasan. Pemeriksaan (Check) memeriksa kembali jumlah komplain yang terjadi oleh customer, apakah terjadi penurunan atau tidak, dan setelah dilakukan perbaikan terjadi penurunan jumlah komplain. Standarisasi (Action) membuat standar yang tetap untuk sistem pemeriksaan ikan disaat pembelian ikan, dan waktu proses produksi di dalam unit pengolahan ikan (SOP diunit pengolahan ikan). Perbaikan yang telah dilakukan dapat menurunkan jumlah komplain dari customer, Jumlah komplain ikan tuna loin segar untuk bulan Januari 2015 dengan total ekspor 3.100,00 kg adalah sebesar 97 kg dengan rincian komplain dari segi warna sebesar 86 kg dan tekstur 11 kg.
