Bloom, Engelhart, Hill, Furst, & Krathwhol (1956) divided the taxonomy of educational into six levels: (1) knowledge; (2) comprehension; (3) application; (4) analysis; (5) synthesis and (6) evaluation. The sixth level is grouped into two major parts, namely, lower order thinking (knowledge, comprehension, and application) and higher-order thinking (analysis, synthesis, and evaluation). Bloom’s taxonomy is revised by Anderson & Kratwohl (2001) and brings new educational taxonomy into (1) remembering; (2) understanding; (3) applying; (4) analyzing; (5) evaluating, and (6) creating. The aspects of higher-order thinking inthe taxonomy are revised: (1) analyzing; (2) evaluating; and (3) creating. The last three levels which are defined as higher-order thinking have many attributes or characteristics that distinguish one another; allows the use as a part in learning activities in both the process and its evaluation. Analyzing is associated with cognitive processes by giving, attributing, organizing, integrating and validating. Evaluating includes checking, critiquing, hypothesizing, and experimenting. Creating includes generating, designing, producing, and devising.
draw aline parallel to CD and BA . Since the area of ∆ FDE equals the area of ∆CDE we label each of these areas A. Similarly, the area of ∆ AFE equals the area of ∆ BAE and so each of these areas can be labelled B. Since A + B = 30 , the area of the rectangle is 2 ( A + B ) or 2 30 ( ) = 60 .
3. A map shows all Beryl’s Llamaburgers restaurant locations in North America. On this map, aline segment is drawn from each restaurant to the restaurant that is closest to it. Every restaurant has a unique closest neighbour. (Note that if Aand B are two of the restaurants, then A may be the closest to B without B being closest to A .)
Fish biological research has been conducted by several institutions (Table 2). A high of 183 species was recorded (OEPP 1999), and low figures are 53 (KKU 1997) and 32–70 species (Yingcharoen and Vilapat 2000). Boonya- ratpalin and others (2002) identified 149 species repre- senting 33 families. The wide range reported reflects mainly differences in methodology and sampling sites, or differ- ences in annual flood levels. Water level is particularly significant since most fish are migratory species whose arrival inand departure from inundated areas varies by family or lower taxonomic level (cf. Ruddle 1987). How- ever, the fish diversity inthe LSRB is higher than that of the Pong, Chi and Mun River Basin, where only 96 fish species representing 28 families were recorded (Sricharoendham and others 1998) and that of the Tha Chin Basin, where 77 fish species representing 21 families (Sricharoendham and others 1999) were recorded. A connection with the Mekong River, which permits the ingress of Mekong species, might account for the high diversity inthe LSRB (Rainboth 1996). The LSRB rainy season is from May to October, nor- mally with a peak in August–September; the hot season occurs in March–April; andthe relatively cool and dry period lasts from November to February. The migratory behavior of fish, and therefore the types of fishing gear used, is closely related to this seasonality. Three categories can be recognized, based on season and related water level (Fig. 2). First is the May to September period, when water levels increase with flow from the Mekong into the Songkhram. At this time, fish migrate with the flow for spawning and early growth, and are caught mostly with hook, long line, small trap, gill net, cover pot, casting net, spear, small bag net, and tube trap. The main fishing season occurs from September to November, when water levels Table 1 Characteristics of respondents to interviews
the easiest is to use a Cartesian co-ordinate system. There are two choices for the origin, the centre of the circle andthe bottom left vertex of the rectangle. The first solution presented uses the centre of the circle as the origin where the axes are lines drawn parallel to the sides of the rectangle through 0 0 ( ) , . The equation of the circle is now x 2 + y 2 = 1 andthe equation of theline containing the diagonal is
to give more information on their utterance because the information they informed does not involve one’s personal feeling like in data 31. On data 5, the dresser informs Elizabeth that Tony Blair has won the election by landslide. On data 11, Tony Blair informs his wife, Cherrie, that the accident of Diana and her new boyfriend, Dody Al Fayed, is very serious since Dody Al Fayed is dead on that accident. On data 26, Robin Janvrin, Elizabeth’s private secretary, informs about the huge numbers of flowers left by the mourner outside the gate of Buckingham Palace which cause difficulties in changing the guards. On data 35, Elizabeth informs her husband, Prince Phillip, that the Prime Minister is calling to suggest her flying the flag at half- mast in order to show that the Palace is also in grief over Diana’s death. On data 36, Elizabeth informs her Prime Minister, Tony Blair, that she has seen the headlines at that day. While on data 39, Prince Phillip informs his wife, Elizabeth, that the condition of their grandchildren is not good as they have seen the papers. Followings are the dialogues:
As we saw in Section 3.7, Writing and Running a Program, on page 59, every Python module can be run directly (from the command line or by running it from an IDE like IDLE), or, as we saw earlier in this section, it can be run indirectly (imported by another program). If a module is to be imported by another module, then the files containing the two modules should be saved inthe same directory (an alternative approach would be to use absolute file paths, which are explained in Section 10.2, Opening a File, on page 173). Sometimes we want to write code that should only be run when the module is run directly and not when the module is imported. Python defines a special string variable called __name__ in every module to help us figure this out. Suppose we put the following into echo.py :
In addition, some of Secondary Vocational School has been or will be declared to be Schools Based International (Sekolah Berwawasan Internasional = SBI). In those schools, English is used or will be used during the teaching and learning process. In anticipating this situation, mathematics teacher should be proficient in english, written or orally. To fulfill those needs, during the inservice training, one of the topic is ‘Bahasa Inggris dalam Pembelajaran Matematika’ or ‘English in Teaching and Learning Mathematics.’ This materials will be used during the session.
At the grade level has a range of 0 – 1 (although student performance typically ranges between 300 and 700). The scale center point of 500 was set to correspond to the mean of the overall mathematics achievement and 100 points on the scale was set to correspond to the standard deviation. According to the TIMSS 2011 report, mathematics assessment consisted of content and cognitive domains. There are four content domains, numbers, algebra, geometry, data and chance, whereas knowing, applying and reasoning were assessed inthe cognitive domain.
making her able to buy almost every kind of luxury, as described by Celie, Shug owns her own car, land, and house, and lots of money. The point she gets married with Grady is really unexpected. As described above, upon marrying, she still performs and basically provides the economy support for her and her husband. The notion that Shug as the money provider while Grady is unemployed ensured Shug ‘ s image as unwomanly figure. As explained in Ain ’ t I a Woman, due to the influence of white patriarchal society, black woman should not be the economy provider as well as not to work outside the house because it was the action of demasculinizing black man. As explained by Bell Hooks, ― black women were told that they had overstepped the bonds of femininity because they worked outside the home to provide economic support for their families and that by so doing they had de-masculinized black men ‖ (1981, p. 75), this was the black matriarchs predicate came from. Black matriarchs predicate applied to female breadwinner, female-headed households, andthe figure of domineering black woman inside the house. Instead of giving black woman positive power inthe house, this predicates resulted on bad image on them. They were being said as paying less-respect to their husbands, and being labeled as unladylike/unwomanly.
Since spermatozoa have no capacity for DNA repair (Drost and Lee, 1995), it is the oocyte that shoulders the responsibility for repairing the genetic damage brought into the zygote by the fertilizing spermatozoon (Matsuda and Tobari, 1989). If DNA damage is not repaired at this stage, checkpoint controls will be exerted at each cleavage division and cells still found to contain damaged genes, will be deleted by apoptosis. Such a mechanism could readily explain the observed association between DNA damage in human spermatozoa and high rates of fragmentation in embryos generated by assisted conception therapy (Morris et al., 2002; Tomsu et al., 2002). However, if the mutations introduced by such mechanisms are sufficiently subtle, they will escape recognition and have the potential to interfere with the health and wellbeing of the offspring. Such a mechanism could readily account for the elevated incidence of dominant genetic mutations, such as achondroplasia, inthe offspring of ageing fathers (Crow, 1997). As indicated above, such mutations are not frequently induced inthe germ line of older men, as was previously suspected (Tiemann-Boegge et al., 2002). An alternative hypothesis is presented in Figure 2, wherein the significantly elevated levels of DNA damage observed inthe spermatozoa of ageing males are held to constitute a pro-mutational change that then becomes fixed as a mutation inthe embryo as a result of defective repair inthe oocyte or early embryo (Figure 2).
Alexandre Dumas was born on July, 1802 in Villers-Cotterets, some fifty miles north-east of paris. He adopted the last name "Dumas" from his grandmother, a former Haitian slave. In 1822, Dumas moved to Paris and immersed himself in literature. He worked as a scribe for the ducd'Orléans (later named King Louis Philippe) during the 1830 revolution. He began writing plays, both comedies and dramas. Dumas was a prolific writer of essays, short stories and novels, as well as plays and travelogues.
It has also been discussed that Yuni translates the other 9 similes using the other four techniques. According to this table, the application of the technique of using other image which is familiar inthe target language to 2 similes or 3,92% of the total creates 100% less readable translations. The same result can be seen inthe application of the technique of translating the simile by addition to only one simile or 1,96% of the total data which also creates a 100% less readable translation. Besides, the application of the technique of translating the simile by reduction to 4 similes or 7,84% of the total data can create 3 readable translations (75%) while 1 simile translation (25%) is considered less readable. On the other hand, the application of the technique of translating the simile without comparison to the other two similes or 3,92% of the total data creates one readable simile translation (50%) while the other simile translation (50%) is considered less readable. The raters also say that Yuni does not give clear explanations about the special terms contained inthe similes. This condition makes her simile translations less readable. However, none of her simile translations is assessed unreadable.
3. Be sure that you understand the coding system for your response form. If you are not sure, ask your teacher to clarify it. All coding must be done with a pencil, preferably HB. Fill in circles completely. 4. On your response form, print your school name, city/town, and province inthe box inthe upper right corner. 5. Be certain that you code your name, age, sex, grade, andthe contest you are writing on the response
24. Raymonde’s financial institution publishes a list of service charges as shown inthe table. For her first twenty five transactions, she uses Autodebit three times as often as she writes cheques. She also writes as many cheques as she makes cash withdrawals. After her twenty- fifth transaction, she begins to make single transactions. What is the smallest number of transactions she needs to make so that her monthly service charges will exceed the $15.95 ‘all-in-one’ fee?
19. Subesha wrote down Davina’s phone number in her math binder. Later that day, while correcting her homework, Subesha accidentally erased the last two digits of the phone number, leaving 893-44_ _. Subesha tries to call Davina by dialing phone numbers starting with 893-44. What is the least number of phone calls that she has to make to be guaranteed to reach Davina’s house?
A number of strategies, plans and policies have supported the development of cycling networks and infrastructure in WA since the 1970s. The Western Australian Bicycle Network Plan 2014-2031 (WABN Plan) was released in March 2014 and aims to make cycling in WA ‘safe, connected, convenient anda widely- accepted form of transport’ . The Department of Transport (DoT) coordinates the activities of agencies in delivering cycling facilities.
A novel configuration to excite dual frequency operation for Satellite application using microstrip line has been experimentally studied. It is shown that the two frequencies can be easily controlled by varying the length patch antenna and adjusting the feed position and also the length of the microstrip feed line. It is observed that return loss of -27.84 dB with VSWR 1.085 can be achieved for the first frequency at 3.9 GHz andthe impedance bandwidth is about 416 MHz or 83.8%. For the second frequency is at 6 GHz with return loss of -18.43 dB and VSWR 1.272 has the impedance bandwidth of 385 MHz or 77.6%. Therefore the proposed antenna is applicable as a new candidate for dual frequency antenna microstrip for Satellite application.
