Further research is needed with a sample of more students and also on other factors that may affect the presence of the carrier bacteria Streptococcus Group A β hemolyticus these children , such as education and occupation of parents.

Acute rheumatic fever and acute glomerul onephritis is a complications arising after infection of Group A Streptococcus β hemolyticus. These bacteria can also be found as a carrier in the respiratory tract , especially in children , do not cause disease but can be at risk for spreading the disease in the environment. Have conducted a cross- sectional descriptive study involving all students of elementary school number 13 Padang to get the number of carrier bacteria Streptococcus β hemolyticus group A at the throat of the students . This study aims to determine the amount of the carrier bacteria Group A Streptococcus β hemolyticus on the students based on age and gender differences.

The concept of lactose intolerance has become embedded in Western medicine and developing economy medi- cine. It is based on evidence that intestinal lactase activity persists into later childhood and throughout life in only a minority of the world’s population, notably northern European–derived populations. These people have the T single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of the rs49882359 allele (C/T), also known as C/T-13910, the MCM6 gene which positively influences the lactase LCT gene. Other lactase persistent (LP) populations are found in Af- rica and the Middle East with different genetic variants. These SNPs represent co-evolution with dairying since the agricultural revolution and nutrient-dependent ecological adaptation. That said, gastrointestinal symptoms considered due to small intestinal lactose malabsorption are poorly correlated with lactase non-persistence (LNP), the situation for most people. With LNP, colonic microbiome lactase enables lactose fermentation to occur so that none is found in faeces. Whether the short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) and gases (hydrogen, carbon dioxide and methane) produced cause symptoms is dose-dependent. Up to 25 g of lactose at any one time can usually be con- sumed by a LNP person, but its food and meal pattern context, the microbiomic characteristics, age and other fac- tors may alter tolerance. Thus, the notion that lactose intolerance is a disorder or disease of LNP people is mis- placed and has been one of cultural perspective. What actually matters is whether a particular dairy product as normally consumed give rise to symptoms. It is, therefore, proposed that lactose tolerance tests be replaced with dairy food tolerance tests.

Retensi Vitamin A dan β-karoten Minyak Sawit yang Difortifikasi Selama Penggorengan

Minyak sawit dapat menjadi pembawa yang baik dalam fortifikasi vitamin A karena stabilitas dan penggunaannya yang luas, sehingga konsumsinya dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap gizi masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi pengaruh jenis fortifikan terhadap retensi vitamin A dan β -karoten dalam minyak sawit yang difortifikasi. Empat jenis minyak yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah minyak sawit difortifikasi β - karoten dari minyak sawit merah (MSM) 47.08 IU/g, difortifikasi vitamin A 59.69 IU/g, difortifikasi dengan campuran A (30 IU MSM, 15 IU vitamin A) 45.64 IU/g dan difortifikasi dengan campuran B (15 IU MSM, 30 IU vitamin A) 45.95 IU/g. Minyak fortifikasi digunakan menggoreng tahu dengan metode shallow frying tiga kali penggorengan dan menumis tauge. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa retensi fortifikan menurun dengan pengulangan penggorengan. Pada hari pertama penggorengan, retensi fortifikan tidak berbeda nyata (p=0.05), dalam kisaran 85.2%-88.22%. Pada penggorengan kedua dan ketiga, diketahui bahwa β -karoten memiliki stabilitas lebih rendah dari vitamin A sebagai fortifikan. Fortifikan kombinasi A dan B memiliki stabilitas yang sama. Bilangan peroksida keempat minyak meningkat sampai penggorengan kedua, kemudian turun pada penggorengan ketiga. Kadar asam lemak bebas (ALB) minyak meningkat secara minimal, kecuali minyak sawit yang difortifikasi vitamin A FFA-nya tetap. Yield fortifikan tertinggi pada tumis tauge adalah vitamin A (63.37%), diikuti oleh campuran B (53.42%), campuran A (50.60%), dan MSM (34.86%).
