2. The term “speaking” refers to a kind of active and productive interaction that makes use of aural medium (Widdowson, 1979:59). Aural media means mouth, lips, tongue, and other oral cavities. In speaking, a message is transferred from the speaker to the hearer. The speaker produces the message, and the hearer receives it. Thus speaking is a part of reciprocal exchange in which the reception and production play a part (Widdowson, 1979:59). In this study, speaking is the skill to be mastered by the students through communicative activities, in this case are role-plays.

Each role play situation speciies the roles of the teacher/Examiner and candidate. Teacher/Examiners must conduct the role plays in accordance with the instructions and script provided in the Teachers’ Notes Booklet. They must prepare the situations carefully so that the candidate’s tasks follow on naturally from the teacher/Examiner’s response. As marks can only be awarded for the stipulated tasks, the teacher/Examiner must not create extra tasks. If a candidate misses out a task the teacher/Examiner should try to guide them back to it, in as natural a way as possible. It does not matter that this may lead to tasks occurring in a different order, as long as they are all attempted.

On the other hand, in the tension area, group V (10 days) possesses greater expression value and significantly different compared to group IV (5 days). It demonstrates that in the group V, HSP25 seems to play important role in regulating osteoblast cells to initiate new alveolar bone formation, while the group IV shows lower HSP25 expression related to osteoblast performance that has not started its functions and activities in forming new alveolar bone.

Recent results from two independent lines of enquiry have revealed a possible role of heterotrimeric G proteins in GA signal transduction in wild oat and rice aleurone. The mastoparan ana- logue Mas7 stimulates GDP–GTP exchange by heterotrimeric G proteins, and is thought to mimic activated G protein-coupled receptors. When wild oat aleurone protoplasts are incubated with Mas7 they produce and secrete a-amylase in a dose-dependent manner and with an identical time course to GA (Ref. 17). As with GA, the effect is largely overcome by ABA. Mas7 induces a-amyl- ase mRNA and expression of a-Amy2/54:GUS. This raises the possibility that Mas7 is activating a heterotrimeric G protein in the GA-signalling pathway. Further evidence supporting this theory has come from studying the effects of hydrolysis-resistant guanine nucleotides on GA-induction of a-Amy2/54:GUS expression 17 .

Sexual behavior activity of timor deer (cervus iimorensis) in various types of grouping paddock

Study on reproductive biology of deer plays an important role for supporting conservation program. One specific characteristic of deer stag is the antler. Antler development stages period plays the most important role in determining the reproductive activities of adult timor deer stags (Bubenik et at. 2002; Handarini et at. 2004; Loudon et at. 1988; Willard and Randel 2002; Woodford 1991). An experiments on reproductive biology of this animal was aimed to study the sexual behavior of this animals in various grouping paddocks to manage the deer breeding system.

This study has the purpose of empirically testing the importance of consistency between manufacturing strategies and practices in achieving better business performances. An empirical test has been conducted and compared on the data sets from three di!erent nations, each of which seems to have quite di!erent manufacturing capabilities and competitive environments. The empirical test result implies that the gap variable indicating inconsistency between manufacturing strategy and implementation practices plays a more important role than the strategy or implementation variable in discriminating the superior from the inferior performance groups. For those data sets from the US and Korea, the gap variables of #exibility, quality and/or cost show more signi"cant contribution in discriminating business performance groups. But none of the gap variables outperform other strategy or implementation variables in discriminating performance groups in Japan. ( 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Shin-Koto Incineration Plant was completed in September 1998. It plays an important role of processing combustible waste and recycling energy since the heat generated during the incineration process helps to produce electricity for energy recycling. It has a capacity to process 1,800 ton of waste per day and generates 50000 kW with a steam turbine generator. In addition, the incineration plant is equipped with the state-of-theart air pollution preventive facilities to removes most of the hydrogen chloride contained in exhaust dust sulfur oxides and mercury. It burns combustible waste continuously at high temperature (800-900 deg C) to ensure complete destruction of dioxins, which successfully maintains the emission of dioxins at much lower level than legally stipulated. Although recycle has been stressed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as the key to deal with waste problem, incineration has still been playing the main role in handling waste in Tokyo, almost 76% of waste was handled by incineration.

THE ROLE OF NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION IN ENGLISH TEACHING

THE ROLE OF NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION IN ENGLISH TEACHING

There are two kinds of eye contact that the teacher often uses in the classroom. One is looking arround, which plays a very useful role in classroom teaching. On the one hand, it can be used to get the students’ attention, and to encourage students to think and respond teacher’s questions actively. On the other it can used to manage the classroom control. Another kind of eye contact is looking attentively. When the teachers criticizes the students’ bad behavior, his eyesight should put on the triangle part of the students’ face. By doing so, the teacher will be impressed as serious, careful, and honest.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE SUPERVISORS ISSUES IN REGULATION AND SUPERVISION OF TAKAFUL (ISLAMIC INSURANCE)

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE SUPERVISORS ISSUES IN REGULATION AND SUPERVISION OF TAKAFUL (ISLAMIC INSURANCE)

18. It is observed that regulators differ in how they see their role in relation to Shari’a compliance. Some have established their own Shari’a board either to advise on Takaful- specific rules or to oversee the operation of Takaful companies’ Shari’a boards. Others have not done so, and have either stood apart from Shari’a issues entirely or have seen their role only as ensuring that Takaful companies have established appropriate Shari’a boards and have followed their advice. There is as yet no consensus on the role of the regulator in this area; in essence the debate is whether the regulator should be a “Shari’a regulator” or a “Shari’a systems regulator”, or neither.

The test results in this study is known that significantly influence the Organizational Culture User Satisfaction Information Systems. The results are consistent with the theory that argues that "organizational culture can always be found in the information system" [Laudon and Laudon, 2012: 115]. Also in accordance with the opinion of "information system used will add value to the company when affected culture" [Stair & Reynolds, 2010: 43]. As well as research results [Weber & Pliskin, 1996] which states that organizational culture plays an important role in the effective implementation of the integration of information systems
