Conceptual design is an essential step in product development process. The main concept for engine mounting is to reduce the vibration to chassis, reduce the weight of engine mounting and perform in material selection. For this task, the design and manufacture of the race car was based on reducing weight of engine mounting and easy to manufacture concept. The main idea behind this concept is that the design and fabrication can be replicated with ease . This was made possible due to the minimal fabrication needed in producing theengine mounting and with minimal use of components. Another factor that contributes to this engine vibration to the chassis of thecar is by using rubber pad for reducing the vibration. This method are used in the standard car to make the driver comfortable when their driven .
Resonant vibration of body panels arising from unbalanced loads existing in theengine body is intensified by frameless or unitary chassis construction. This has forced designers to direct their attention to the development of high quality engine mounting devices in order to ensure that improved comfort in riding and silencing shall not be offset by fatiguing vibration effects. An engine mount system is designed to reduce the transmission of engine vibration to the chassis. Engine mounts are used to connect a carengine to thecar frame. They are usually made of rubber and metal. An engine mount must satisfy two essential but conflicting criteria. First, it should be stiff and highly damped to control the idle shake andengine mounting resonance. Also, it must be able to control, like a shock absorber, the motion resulting from load conditions such as travel on bumpy roads. Second, for a small amplitude excitation over the higher frequency range, a compliant but lightly damped mount is required for vibration isolation and passenger comfort
Car (short of an automobile which comes from the Greek 'autos' (own)) and Latin 'movere' (move) is four or more wheeled vehicle that carries its own engine. Types of cars, including buses, vans, trucks. Operation of thecar is called driving. Over time thecar needs for humans its increasing because it is very helpful to the process of traveling and working, the development of thecar in the country Indonesia is growing very rapidly, especially the use of an SUV. The development of the SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) in Indonesia will be interesting to
Puddles on the garage floor or drive, or obvious wetness under the bonnet or underneath thecar, suggest a leak that needs investigating. It can sometimes be difficult to decide where the leak is coming from, especially if theengine bay is very dirty already. Leaking oil or fluid can also be blown rearwards by the passage of air under thecar, giving a false impression of where the problem lies.

The testing procedure followed the standard of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM): D 4172-94 - Standard Test Method for Wear Preventive Characteristics of Lubricating Fluid (Four-Ball Method). All tests were run at the speed, load, time, and temperature of 1200rpm, 392.4N, 3600secs, and 75 o C, respectively. The test was repeated three times to ensure the results are more precise and reliable.
The purpose of digital revolution counter is more as a reference to theengine lifetime and do car maintenance schedule. Thecar maintenance schedule such as changing the spark plugs, timing belt, engine oil, gear oil, oil filter andthe others was proposed based on the total number of engine revolution recorded. These two instruments were implemented and also combined together in one system using the Microchip PIC microcontroller. The digital tachometer and revolution counter will give more accurate reading compared to analogue reading. The usage of digital tachometer is rare because the price is quit expensive while digital revolution counter is non existent. So, the purpose of this project is to build a low cost and efficient digital tachometer and revolution counter by using Microchip PIC Microcontroller.
The Hydra-Matic consisted of three planetary gear sets that were operated hydraulically. A fluid coupling was used to connect theengineand transmission. Credit for perfecting the fluid coupling goes to Chrysler, which developed the concept in 1937. However, Chrysler did not make use of it until 1941, when the Chrysler Fluid Drive transmission was introduced. This was not an automatic unit, but a standard transmission with a fluid coupling, not a clutch.
Before theengine running when the ignition switch is on, the ECU receives signals for data reads such as; cooling water temperature (ECT sensor), incoming air temperature (IAT sensor), intake pressure (MAP sensor) and throttle valve position (TP Sensor) to determine the ratio of the first gasoline-air mixture. During theengine running at start, the ECU sends the pulse to the injector based on the rpm reference pulse (engine speed). When theengine temperature is lower, the injection time pulse width is longer and there is the enrichment of the air-gasoline mixture ratio. If theengine temperatures rise, the injection time pulse width becomes shorter andthe air-to-gas fuel mixture becomes thinner.
The nano-oil was prepared by dispersing optimal composition of hBN nanoparticles in 15W40 diesel engine oil using ultrasonic homogenizer . The single cylinder diesel engine performance test was conducted using 20 hp eddy current dynamometer (air cooled type). The torque and power were recorded by DynoMite software. Besides, the surface morphology of piston ring was observed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).

When Pistons are operating, they directly touch the high temperature gas and their transient temperature can reach more than 2500K and generates the 18KW power. The piston is heated seriously and its heat transfer coefficient is 167 w/m ° C and its heat dissipation condition is poor, so the piston temperature can reach 600 ~ 700 K approximately andthe temperature distributes unevenly. On the basis of these conditions, we will make thermal analysis for the piston.
The tribological properties of various lubricating oils are usually studied by using the four-ball tester machine. This studies are with their purposes such as for bearing lubrication, cutting oils and gearbox with specified especially with lubrication and usually with additives in comparing the performance of the lubricants. In my project, the lubricant will be of a fluid type of lubricant which is fully synthesized and a determined value of viscosity (A. D. Dongare, 2014).
The Formula Varsity is a student competition in Malaysia. The competition a such as like Formula SAE give impression for engineering student to gain experience in the design, manufacture and test of the vehicle. The concept of this event also came from SAE competition held in United Kingdom, America and Canada. The objectives of such event are to expose student to practical work, to give students to apply theories into practical and to develop new talent of students in automotive industry (Faieza et al., 2009).

This is because when theengineand oil are cold, the viscosity must be low enough so that theengine can be started without too much difficulty because the oil flows with less resistance andtheengine gets proper lubrication. It would be very difficult to start a cold engine with high-viscosity oil because the oil would resist engine rotation and poor lubrication would result because of difficulty in pumping the oil. On the other hand, when theengine gets up to operating temperature, it is desirable to have higher viscosity oil. Therefore, high temperature reduces the viscosity so that oil with low viscosity number would not give adequate lubrication.

The aim of this project is to harvest energy from mechanical of vibration by generate low level power on similar scale to batteries but without the need for battery replacement or disposal of potentially dangerous and polluting chemicals. For this reason, vibration produces by machine such as carengine can be explored further in producing electric power. It offers an alternative in scavenging electrical energy from environment based on vibration. Since, piezoelectric has the highest energy density compared to other mechanism such as electromagnetic and electrostatic, it will be used in this project to harvest energy from the vibration source, whereby piezoelectric material is used to transfer mechanical strain that induced when excited by the vibration of theenginecarand transform into electrical charge.
