environment, organizational commitment, job satisfaction and more. In various studies, organizational culture is one of the factors influencing theperformance can influence the attitudes of thefaculty in doing his job running the tri dharma college mandate is education and teaching, research and community service. In this study, showed results that did not differ from previous studies, based on the results of regression analysis showed that the contribution of Organizational Culture on thePerformance of State Community College lecturer Bojonegoro by 13.2%. With a contribution of only 13.2%, the culture of the organization expressed significant effect on theperformance of State Community College Lecturer in Bojonegoro. So 13.2% as a result of the indicators X1 andthe rest is likely influenced by other variables that are not included in this study. The results are consistent with research Yuwalliatin (2006) which states that Organizational Culture, Motivation and commitment directly influence employee performance.
SERVQUAL measurement results conducted at theFaculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta, there is still a considerable gap between the expectations of the students on the quality of services rendered primarily responsiveness and assurance dimensions, although WOM (Word of Mouth) intention given to outside parties is very positive. Based on these measurements, carried out this study in order to determine how to influence lecturer abilities andlecturer attitude to lecturerperformance in class, the effect of tangible andperformance delivery to service quality, the effect of lecturerperformanceand service quality to quality education, and quality education to student satisfaction. A questionnaire was used as a means of collecting data on student opinion which is processed by using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to obtain structural equation models equipped with the path diagram the relationship between variables. The result is the level of influence between variables either partially or simultaneously, as well as the formation of structural equations that can be used for solving problems or improving the quality of service is based on the calculation of the correlation matrix between dimensions.
achieve educational goals. Achieving these objectives requires human resources as a source of learning for students. Learning resources are lecturers who are able to carry out their duties in their respective fields. Universities should be aware that competition and challenge not only in terms of facilities but how to manage the resources of thefaculty. In addition to the challenges of global society, it is proper for universties and colleges in South Sumatra to be on the top 10 best universities in Indonesia. One determining factor of the success of an educational institution is in the lecturers who provide instruction to students. Lecturer as learning resource should be prepared in order to have sufficient competence in addition to factors that are not less important for increasing facultyperformance like motivation of lecturers. Qualified competencies must be accompanied with motivation in order to transform knowledge to students. Lecturers should be able to produce research at national and international level. Commitment of the lecturers can hinder their performance improvement since commitment a promise to yourself in implementing the tasks. Another aspect that is also important in improving theperformance of thelecturer is the job satisfaction of the lecturers such as working conditions, and wages. Working conditions need to get the most attention because lecturers devote themselves to the success of the students.
In order to reasonably compare the three methods for continuous constrained problems, the number of times for objective function evaluation andthe number of computational runs are made the same for all the methods. The population sizes are 10, numbers of different runs are 50, the random values are bounded between -5.0 and 5.0, andthe number of kick for the problems is the same for all the algorithms. The SGO used the following assumption: a player is only affected by its previous position andthe ball position, golden ratio is used to set the cooperation rate , , andthe probability that a player will move randomly (m) is 0.1. The crossover and mutation rate for the GA are set as follows: crossover rate is 0.8 and mutation rate is 0.2. The GA toolbox in Matlab 7 is used since it is well designed and is widely accepted as a good optimization tool. The PSO is implemented using PSO toolbox-beta-0.3 developed by Jagatpreet Singh (Khosla et al, 2006). For the PSO algorithm, two types of adjustments are made in terms of the number of a particle neighborhood. Neighborhood sizes of 0 and 2 are used for the PSO 1 andthe PSO 2 respectively but the other parameters are the same. They are set to: c1 = 2, c2 = 2, c3 = 1,
This study examined the relationship between environmental performanceand financial performance amongst Indonesian companies. The environmental performance is measured by corporate environmental ratings provided by Bapedal through a program, called PROPER, while the financial performance is measured by return on assets (ROA). Five control variables are also included in this analysis, namely: total assets, industry sector, ISO 14001 certification, stock exchange listing, and percentage of export. The sample were taken from 252 companies in the PROPER list, 266 in National Database of ISO 14001 certification, and 1000 Major Non-financial Indonesian Companies by CISI Raya Utama, resulted in 87 usable companies. A regression analysis was used to test the relationship between environmental performanceand financial performance. The study revealed while financial performance is not significantly associated with environmental performance, company size, stock exchange listing and ISO 14001 are significantly associated with environmental performance. This finding also indicates that the government environmental rating is highly consistent with international environmental certification.
This article using orthogonal test program for the muffler structure parameters as input to the sound pressure level and diesel fuel each output artificial neural network (BP network) learning sample. Matlab artificial neural network toolbox to complete the training of the network, and better noise performanceand fuel consumption rate performance muffler internal structure parameters combination was obtained through genetic algorithm gifted collaborative validation of artificial neural networks and genetic algorithms to optimize application exhaust muffler design is entirely feasible.
There are a variety of APM toolsets, but they broadly aim to gather data on the internal performance of an application and correlate that with server performance. They generally collect data from all executions of a program into a central database and generate reports of performance across them. Typically, APM tools show execution time down to the method level within the application and query execution time for database queries. This allows you to easily drill down to the pain points within specific requests.
operating margin of combined firms andthe median operating margin of corresponding industry. Their results suggest that the operating performance of the combined target and acquirer is strong relative to their industry peers preceding the merger, and slightly im- proves in the wake of the merger transaction. Also similar to Healy et al. (1992), Heron and Lie (2002) find that acquiring firms demonstrate greater operating performance relative to their industry counterparts prior to mergers and, consistent with Healy et al. (1992) and Switzer (1996), these firms con- tinue to exhibit an operating perfor- mance level in excess of their respec- tive industries following the mergers. Moreover, those firms significantly outperform control firms with compa- rable pre-event operating performance. Clark and Ofek (1994) also ana- lyze post-merger operating perfor- mance. However, their study was de- signed to specifically examine the ef- fectiveness of mergers in restructuring distressed firms, and investigate some determinants of the success of those mergers (using EBITD deflated by sales revenues instead of market value of equity, as in Healy et al. (1992)). They collected a sample of takeovers undertaken to restructure distressed targets for the period between 1981 and 1988. They find that, unlike the mergers of healthy firms studied by Healy et al. (1992), theperformance of bidders that acquire distressed targets tend to decline in the post-merger pe- riod.
The result showed that VAIC TM growth positively and significant influence to ROA growth. VACA growth positively and significant influence to ROA growth, but VAHU and STVA aren't influence to ROA growth. The results also showed, the decreasing ROA growth (2010) for companies that increasing two years (2007-2009), following VAIC growth about 66,67%.
Language style becomes a part of the diction or choice of words which is discussed about the suitability word, phrase, or clause to deal with linguistic hierarchy, both at the level of word choice in individual, phrase, clause, sentence or discourse as a whole. Language style can be found in many advertisements, especially in television advertisements. As a part of diction or choice of words, language style often used by the advertisers to make the language in advertising attractive and persuasive through the use of hyperbole or exaggerate words with the purpose that the language persuades the viewers to buy the product. For the viewers who have not enough understanding about the language they will be persuaded and buy the product even though it is not necessary for them. But for who have understood with the use of language, in particularly the use of language style in advertisement, they will be more carefully in choosing the product. If they want buy the product they will take into account whether it is needed or not.
High Performance Work Systems are not the same as Total Quality Management (TQM), but both approaches can be used in conjunction with one another . Although the approach of TQM emphasizes employee involvement, type of involvement was limited to allow employees to make suggestions and control certain elements of the production process and quality control processes . This does not indicate that the organization will be restructured and redesigned to emphasize employees have the information, knowledge, strength, benefits that will give them business experience. Instead employees are provided with information, knowledge, and power to fix a particular element of the organization's work processes. (Lawler et al., 1992).
Hadoop breaks down a large computational problem into tiny, modular pieces across a cluster of commodity hardware. Each computational piece could be run almost anywhere within the cluster and, as a result, could be a little faster or slower based on that machine’s specifications. Hadoop was designed to include redundancy to keep this variability from impacting performance. If a particular task is running slower than expected, Hadoop may launch the same computation on another copy of the target data. Whichever task completes first wins.
The economist, Harry Markowitz (1959) developed a basic portfolio model theory which measures the expected risk and rate of return for a portfolio. He won the Nobel Prize in 1990 for this theory. Markowitz demonstrated the formula for computing the variance and stated that the variance of the rate of return was a significant measure of portfolio risk under acceptable assumptions. This portfolio variance formula specified the significance and effectiveness of diversifying of investments to lower the risk of a portfolio. This theory has been supported by some economist such as Sharpe (1964), Lintner (1965) and Mossin (1966). Sharpe (1964) introduced CAPM (Capital Asset Price Model) that return of the stock affected by its risk where the risk is called Beta. Beta is the regression’s slope that explains the relationship between the stock return and market return. The theory pros to Markowitz theory which states that the higher the tolerable risk, the higher is the expected portfolio return. Nonetheless, Markowitz theory’s has been criticized by Konno & Yamazaki (1991) who argue that the theory was not been used extensively due to its computational difficulty. Konno and Yamazaki demonstrated that an optimum portfolio model should use mean absolute deviation risk instead of mean variance by Markowitz. Specifically, the risk models should be based on a linear program instead of a quadratic program.
Realization of good health for the whole community is one manifestation of the success of the development of a nation. Government as one of the executive in the effort to improve the health maximally responsible for making the key performance indicators as a measure of the evaluation of healthcare that have been run. Report of the Organization of the Local Governance ( Laporan Penyelenggaraan Pemerintahan Daerah – LPPD) as acountability media in Salatiga consists of government public services for one period using key performance indicators of maternal and child health sector. Given the monitoring and evaluation system health based on achievement of key performance indikators, the study will compare the Key Performance Indicator (IKK) of maternal and child health are listed in LPPD, Strategic of the Ministry of Health of Republic of Indonesia (Renstra Kemenkes 2010-2014), and America’s key performance indicator as best practice.
The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy has become very popular among organizations and companies; hence it’s very common in large companies implement CRM to compete and promote their businesses. However, CRM strategies are not very common in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). SMEs have to implement customer relationship into their business operations in order to strategies on establishing high performanceand high value-added with strong technical, innovative capability and competitive advantage over rivals. CRM strategies have the potential to help improve the business value and competitive capabilities of SMEs, yet have received mixed performance reviews in the extant literature. Therefore, this research presents a conceptual model on the antecedents of achieving successful implementations of CRM strategies by Malaysian SMEs. The model incorporate CRM strategies construct; key customer focus, knowledge management, relationship marketing and technological CRM resources, and investigated the impact of CRM strategies on these constructs and relationship performance. In addition the firm’s market orientation has considered as critical antecedent to the practices of CRM. The model then enables several empirically testable propositions that are relevant to develop a survey instrument for this study.
Spekle and Verbeeten (2014) suggest that contractility has a direct effect on performance. Contractility shows that clear and measurable goals contribute to performance, and develop stronger for relatively simple tasks, this is evident in the concept of high contractibility. Extremely clear and measurable goals will improve government performance. Performance measurement system to make clear and measurable work contracts that can be made. For employees. This work only fits within the specific specifics. Explicitly, the contract of employment requires: (1) goal setting can be clearly specified; (2) an organization capable of selecting undistorted performance measures, i.e. a matrix of sufficient incentives for the primary purpose; and (3) determine the outcomes and capabilities for desired results. Sometimes that ambiguity is deliberately made in some public sector organizations for politics or self-serving purposes.
Finally, the researcher realizes that this thesis is still far from being perfect. Therefore, constructive suggestion is needed for the progress of the next study. The researcher hopes that this thesis would provide a positive contribution to the educational development andthe readers.
