ACCOUNTING GRADUATED SKILLS BASED ON INDONESIAN QUALIFICATION FRAMEWORK (IQF): EMPIRICAL STUDY IN MEDAN CITY.

The quality of graduates of Accounting Indonesia is now expected to be able to follow the activities of the business, particularly in the era of MEA already started at the end of 2015. The accounting profession is one profession that participated in the MEA markets. For the accounting profession in Indonesia should be able to improve the competence and follow the competition. The main target of Accounting degree to be able to competence and do not add to the number of unemployed. Assessing the macro side of unemployment caused by (1) education policy is not oriented on market requirements, (2) economic policy, especially investments that are not able to provide employment in accordance with the total labor force, and (3) economic development policies tend to be oriented to the capital intensive rather than on labor-intensive, while the study of micro perspective unemployed bachelor could be caused by (1) low quality of skills (skills), Hardskill and potential of academic graduates or known as hard Skill, and (2) factors of character and mental toughness to work hard is one form of Soft skilll. While from the micro level, the two main factors the poor quality of college graduates based on the findings of the study Jaya Jakaria (2009) was the first, the perception gap between managers of universities with the managers of industry, and secondly, the college curriculum has not been optimally designed to produce graduates who are quite , skilled and able to perform the work in a comprehensive manner. To overcome this problem, according to Fasli Jalal (2009) states that universities should improve the quality, relevance and productivity to produce quality graduates who are relevant to the needs of society and have the capability development of creativity, entrepreneurship and soft skills. Some research result, Kemenade Garre (2000), Dawn (2007) and Jaya Jakaria (2009) also recommended the importance of higher education to improve the quality of graduates are oriented on market requirements.

Determinant Factors of The Performance Indicator of Local Government (Study towards Performance Indicator of Economic Growth and Open Unemployment Rate in Sidoarjo Regency)

and decrease unemployment rate. According to [13] explained correlation between salary and unemployment rate. Employee set minimum wage/ salary based on regional minimum wage; when the regional minimum wage was too low, the unemployment rate in the area was relatively high. On the other hand, based on employer’s perspective, increasing salary would increase cost and decrease efficiency; as the consequence, the employers would cut down employees to minimize cost of production. These increase number of unemployed individuals. The first study discussing the correlation between inflation and unemployment rate was conducted by [14] and the finding was well-known as the Phillips Curve. The inverse relationship between the unemployment rate and the inflation rate was shown by the Phillips curve in which the parabolic image headed upwards. The effect of population growth towards the unemployment rate or labor market showed that population growth had important implication towards employment. According to Oberai (as cited in [15]), rapid population growth without greater investment proportion caused lack of employment, increase unemployment rate and prevented structural transformation in the workforce. Unemployment was also closely related to the quality of human resources through the level of educational indicating the high and low quality of education employees had. The relationship between education background and unemployment may also be explained using the signaling and screening theory. The theory explained that job applicants may consider their education background as "warranty card" or guarantee.

Specifically, we estimate the continuous influence of the unemployment rate at entry on subsequent employment status and real annual earnings, using two com- parable cross-sectional household surveys from 1986 to 2005: the Labor Force Sur- vey in Japan and the Current Population Survey in the United States. With controls for year- and region- fixed effects and region specific linear trends, we find that a recession at entry has a persistent negative effect for less-educated Japanese men: a one percentage point rise in the unemployment rate at entry reduces the likelihood of being employed by 3–4 percentage points over 12 years and, though standard errors are huge, leads to earning losses by 5–7 percent for the group without a college education. Sample decomposition by employment status suggests that the negative impact on earnings is due to a continuous decline in the probability of fulltime, regular employment. Although we also find a persistent, significantly neg- ative effect on earnings for more-educated Japanese men, this effect for the more- educated group is not attributable to a decline in regular employment. Only tem- porary effects are observed for less-educated American men, and the effect on earnings for more-educated American men is modest and gradually fading. The pattern of persistence across groups with different educational background exhibits a striking contrast between the two countries.

In general poverty is the state of being without the necessities of daily living, often associated with need, hardship and lack of resources across a wide range of circumstances. A person living in the condition of poverty is said to be poor or impoverished (The Free Dictionary). There are also several definitions on Poverty made by the NGOs and GoI Institutions. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) a household is categorized as poor if they have an income per capita below the poverty line. The poverty line is a measure of the amount of money a government or a society believes is necessary for a person to live at a minimum level of subsistence or standard of living. Meanwhile, The World Bank defines extreme poverty as a person living on less than US$ 1 per day, and moderate poverty as a person living less than US$ 2 a day. Pre-prosperous family (K eluarga Pra Sejahtera) is a family that is unable to fulfil a minimum of basic human needs including spiritual needs, food, clothes, home, education and health. Indonesian student readiness for entrepreneurship is very important to know and improved. Therefore, the employment opportunities that are available today for the educated labor force of college graduates is extremely unbalanced with graduates produced so that there are a lot of educated unemployment everywhere.According to the Statistics Agency Central (BPS), in August 2014 recorded the number of unemployment in Indonesia 7.24 million people, in the same period of 2015 the number increased by 320 thousand or 4.42% higher than the prior period. Of the total unemployed, the highest number of educated unemployed have graduated from college, which is 13.94% (Level S1 Degree and Diploma), while graduates of vocational schools (SMK) is lower than that, which is 12.65%, graduate high school (SMA) 10.32% Junior secondary school (JSS) 6.22%, and 2.74% Primary School, the remaining approximately 54.13% are unemployed who are not in school (Rini, 2017). Given the gravity of unemployment that has graduated from college then it is proper for the college management seeks to know and improve the readiness of students to entrepreneurship, employment readiness for opening standalone or as a job creator, no longer oriented as job seekers

ABSTRACT: West Sumatra as a common area shaken earthquake, the construction of buildings both as shelters, shophouses, and other social buildings need to be built with earthquake safe concrete construction. Concrete construction is the best choice, because the material constituent relatively large, and the price is relatively cheap in West Sumatra. This study aims to increase the compressive strength of concrete with low cost. The experimental approach was chosen by experiment method that is the addition of Sunua sand material to the concrete mixture ranging from 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 0% for the control concrete. From the result of concrete compressive test after 28 days old with addition of Sunua sand at 5% percent = 44,20 MPa, for 10% = 48,29 MPa, for 15% = 49,62 MPa, for 20% = 44.00, for 25 % = 401,37 MPa, and the control concrete is 417,46 MPa. So the highest concrete strength is obtained at 15% percentage with power 49.62MPa. Keywords: Increased, concrete strength, Sunua sand

Abstract: The study aim to describe the water filtration with multilevel system. The method in this water filtering system is a continuous flow from firts box to the next one. Each box has a different filter instrument. Water is flowed from wells using a water pump machine. This type of well water is brackish water. Brackish water is distributed in the original box containing bricks and gravel, flowed to the second city containing the sand and palm fiber, and then flowed to the third box containing the filter made of charcoal and foam. Based on physical analysis of the water coming out of this filter is colorless and odorless, and based on the results of laboratory testing the pH, acid and DOC levels, concluded feasible for use as water for daily non-consumption purposes. Clean water can be used by the community around the sub-district office for daily purposes.

Parenting and Inclusive Education

Parenting and Inclusive Education

Other government directives include the Excellence in Schools: White Paper (DfEE, 1997b), in which raising British educational standards has been paramount. No one would dispute the aim of raising standards, but along with this are ‘Oscar’-like rewards for teaching performance, zero tol- erance for under-performance, league tables and the privileging of exami- nation results. Here there is a clear conflict between inclusion and school performance. The pressure to sit and pass exams is experienced by parents via their children’s experiences and education professionals’ actions, as highlighted by Benjamin (2002: 43). ‘Attention is focussed on the num- bers and percentages of students scoring five or more passes at C grade or above, since this is the “expected level” and the benchmark for externally recognised success. It is also the measure used in compiling local league tables.’ She goes on to reveal an example of this in a school staff room.

MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION, IMPLICATION FOR GENERAL EDUCATION AND GIFTED EDUCATION IN INDONESIA

But Sleeter and Grant (1993) also extend this type of multicultural education to include a much broader spectrum of programs with socially- oriented and social activist goals. The programs they refer to, which are much less common--and which can be much more controversial--emphasize pluralism and cultural equity in the American society as a whole, not simply within the schools. In order to reach their goals, such programs can employ a number of approaches. Many emphasize the application of critical thinking skills to a critique of racism, sexism, and other repressive aspects of American society; some emphasize multilingualism; others attempt to examine issues from a large number of viewpoints different from that of the predominant culture; still others can utilize cooperative learning approaches and decision-making skills in order to prepare students to become socially-active citizens.

Health Promotion and Education

Health Promotion and Education

Direct measures of economic status include income and consumption or expenditure. One deinition of income may measure all money received during a speciied period of time, for labour or services, from sales of goods or property, as transfers from the government, other organizations or other households, or as earnings from inancial investments; alternatively, income is sometimes simply the amount of compensation received for employment. Income may be considered on an individual basis or divided by the number of people living in the household. There are some limitations of using income measurements that are particularly pertinent to low- and middle-income country settings: (a) non-monetary income, such as in-kind gifts or trading, may not be captured by the measurement tool; (b) problems arise on how to calculate income level when income is transitory, irregular or received through informal employment; and (c) questions about income may be a sensitive topic, especially in poor households. For these reasons, reliable data about income are dificult and expensive to collect. Consumption and expenditure are other direct measures of wealth, which measure the inal use of goods and services (consumption) and the money payments to obtain goods and services (expenditure). Measuring consumption and expenditure may have certain advantages in developing countries where income may be less predictable and the informal economy is more widespread. However, this information is usually not available from household health surveys, and may require a special set of questions speciically devoted to this measure.

There is a scientific study related to gender. It seems that the results of the study, especially those related to gender, have developed rapidly. This is evidenced by the shift of research paradigm to research that does not solely examine the problem of education and language related to sex in the biological sense, but has led to the paradima of gender research as a social and cultural concept. Aldous Huxley in Coulmas (1988: 36) states that in the 18th century, where logic and science became a fashion (trend). Women try to talk like men, while in the 20th century just the opposite. The results of the study should be concerned teachers in implementing the learning process in school

The voltage is amplified by using instrumentation’s circuit amplifiers that have a high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) capability. Once amplified, the voltage is passed to the band pass filter circuit to take the desired frequency, ie ± 50KHz. Thus, the voltage data will be spared from electromyography (EMG) signal interference ranging from 20Hz to 500 Hz, artificial movement disturbance, and radio wave interference. The output voltage of the filter circuit then goes into the circuit of the voltage rectifier in order to facilitate the microcontroller in retrieving and processing the data. In this articles used 2 series of stimulation and 2 pieces of instrumentation to perform measurements on two channels simultaneously. The system requires three electrodes. The diagram block of the system is showed in Figure 3.
