BAB V KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN

B. Saran

1. Pada penelitian selanjutnya sebaiknya dapat menggali informasi yang lebih mendalam dengan calon responden mengenai:

a. Lama waktu puasa responden sebelum pengambilan darah yaitu 8-10 jam yang bertujuan untuk meminimalkan eksklusi data.

b. Riwayat pengobatan yang telah digunakan pasien untuk memastikan keadaan responden yang sesungguhnya.

2. Kontrol (non diabetes melitus) sebaiknya digunakan pada penelitian selanjutnya yang berfungsi sebagai pembanding terhadap penyandang diabetes melitus sehingga hasil penelitian dapat menjelaskan perbedaan korelasi tersebut pada diabetes melitus maupun non diabetes mellitus, serta jumlah respoden yang

digunakan sebaiknya memiliki proporsi yang sama pada pria dan wanita, sehingga hasil penelitian pada pria dan wanita dapat dibandingkan dengan jelas.

3. Usia responden yang disarankan pada penelitian selanjutnya yaitu menggunakan rentang usia yang lebih dekat (per dekade), misalnya 40-50 tahun, 50-60 tahun, dan 60 tahun keatas.

4. Lama durasi menyandang diabetes melitus tipe 2 ditetapkan dalam rentang tertentu, misalnya 1-5 tahun.
