of the Christian Religion or Education : BE
ITENACTED. that the some shall be dividcd'arnonpt the different denominations of prb fessing Christians in proportion to the respective numbers of their population according to the census returns

inproportionate sunx to the Office bearers of every such denomination having charge
offunds or other similar matters of a secular nature, according
tothe constitution and
usagesof such denomination ; or, if there shnll bc no such Office-bearers known, or applicable to the case, then to such Trustees as shall he appointed by, or on behalf of any such denomination, i n manner to be directcd by the Go- vernor, by Proclamation published in the South Australian Govern- ment Gazette :' Upori trust, that the said Trustees shall duly apply the moneys so paid, in promoting Religion or Educatioo, as they may deem
mostjust and beneficial, having regard to the wants of particular localities; and
011condibon, that the said Trustees 'shall, on or before the thirty-first day of March next, report to the Governor full and true statements and accounts of the due outlay of the moneys; such statements and accounts to be by the Governor laid before the Legislative Council as soon as may be after the the.n.nest p ~ e m b l i n g thereof.
