Bulletin 1

1. Sanctioning Bodies

IWWF Asia & IWWF Oceania Confederations

All Federations in Asia and Oceania are invited to compete in the Asia & Oceania Championships to be held at the WA Water Ski Park (Bonney’s Ski Park) Baldivis from 6th to 12th October 2014.

2. Organizers

Participants should take out private travel/accident insurance besides their health insurance.

Accident insurance should include accidents arising during Waterski, Wakeboard and or Barefoot competition. Your travel insurer should be able to include this as an extra endorsement if you do not have existing coverage. Participants will be required to sign a waiver upon registering and provide evidence of personal accident insurance.

4. Entry Conditions & Administration

Only paid-up member federations of the Asia and Oceania Confederations are qualified to participate in the 2014 IWWF Asia & Oceania Championships. All athletes must be entered by their respective Federations, including individual athletes.

a. Intent to Enter: Each federation shall submit to the Secretary General of the Oceania Confederations and to the organizing committee (WAWSA), not later than 4 months before the scheduled start of the first event of the 2014 IWWF Asia & Oceania / Asia Championships, its intent to compete. Any federation not meeting this requirement will not be allowed to compete until they pay a penalty (to be determined) to the Oceania Confederation.

Each federation shall submit to the Secretary General of the Oceania Confederation, and the Organizing Committee (WAWSA), not later than thirty (30) days before the scheduled start of the first event of the 2014 IWWF Asia & Oceania Championships / Asia Championships, the names of the members of its team, the disciplines (Tournament, Barefoot and Wakeboard), the events each will enter, the ranking of each competitor, as well as the names of the official reserves. Any federation not meeting this requirement may not be allowed to compete until the federation pays a penalty (to be advised) after the 30-day deadline to the Oceania Confederation for each competitor not officially entered. If the official entry forms are not received 24 hours prior to the start of the first event, the federation's skiers’ and riders’ places in the draw shall

be determined by the respective Chief Judges without reference to their rankings.

b. Submission Deadlines

All Asia and Oceania Federations must submit the following forms as follows:-

c. Intent to Enter: Require countries to respond by 25th April 2014. Completed forms are to be submitted to WAWSA - Mike Wrenn, Chairman <[email protected]>

and copied to:

5. Entry Fee

Entry Fee $300.00 AUD This includes:

• All transfers to and from the airport.

• Transport to and from the site.

• Storage of skis’ on site.

• Large buffet breakfast and light lunch.

• Welcome Night and Presentation Evening

6. Official Hotel

The Ocean Clipper Inn is the official Hotel in Rockigham. All rooms have a double and single bed. The rates are per person. $112.00 single, $145.00 for two and $165.00 for three in a room. This includes a buffet

breakfast. Prices may go up slightly over the year. All prices are in AUD All VIP’s and Judges will stay at the Ocean Clipper Inn

7. Rules - General

The competition will be conducted according to the IWWF and Asia/Oceania Rules for Tournament, Barefoot and Wakeboard.

We are very excited to announce that there will be an U/17 competition for Tournament and Barefoot.

Note. A final listing of the rules will be issue in Bulletin No2.

8. Transportation

The organising committee will arrange transportation for teams and officials from the Perth International Airport. Approximately 40 mins from airport to Rockingham. Where possible we will ask skiers to arrange flights in morning 10-12 am and 4-6 pm time slots for easy transportation. Flights out of this window will still be catered for after contacting the organisers to look at options.

Transport for all competitors and officials will be from the Ocean Clipper Inn each morning and afternoon to the site.

9. Unofficial Practice

Will be available on Sunday 5th to Tuesday 7th October at the official site, Bonney’s Ski Park. Cost will be

$250.00 AUD per hour. Reservation forms will be circulated in the next Bulletin.

10. Tournament Judging Seminar

The Asia & Oceania Confederations planto run a Tournament Judging Seminar on

Tuesday 7th October 2014 if there is sufficient interest amongst Asia and Oceania Federations:- Time Topic

Welcome message from Oceania President

As Chairman of the Oceania Confederation it is with great pride we will be able to Welcome Skiers, Wakeboarders, Barefooters along with Judges, Officials and dignitaries from both the Asian and Oceania confederations of the IWWF to Perth, Western Australia. I am sure our Australian hospitality will shine through as we are able to showcase the best athletes in Asia and Oceania to the Australian Public.

Again on behalf of the Oceania Confederation I would like to welcome you all to join with us on this momentous occasion and come downunder with our slogan Let’s get together and have fun.
