[28TH JULY, 1S63.j HEREAS H e r Majesty hath from time to time caused to be made under the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland divers letters patent intended t o take effect within llcr Majesty’s Colonies and possessions beyond the seas : And whereas doubts arc entertairied respecting the period at which such’letters patent have taken or inay hereafter take effect within such colonics and posses- sions ; nnd it is expedient that such doubts should bc rcnidvecl : Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s most excellent Mnjcsty, by oilcl with the ndvicc and conient of the lords spiritual and temporxl, a l d corn- mons, in this prcseent Parliament assembled, and by the authority of tho some, as follows :

5. This Act shall take effect in each of Her DIajesty’s colonies and Commencement

possessions so soon as the same shall be proclaimed thcrein by the officer oPhct*

administering the government thereof.
