Aqua Shop Member of the Month Bob Willis – Western Alligators
Bob started swimming at the Age of 7 for the Bilston Swimming Club, England. At aged 15, he broke his arm just 6 weeks prior to the national age group championships. Determined to still swim he begged his doctor to remove his cast just prior to the championships. He swam but was narrowly beaten, and consequently missed a place in the English Youth Training Squad. It was at this stage that Bob decided to spend more time focusing on school and became a doctor.
Dr Bob settled permanently in Australia in 1993. Still a very good swimmer today, Bob is a prime example of everything MSV stands for - FITNESS, FRIENDSHIP and FUN. Bob has encouraged many of his friends to stay fit and join MSV, he has made many new friends through the Western Alligators. Always having a laugh in the pool and poolside and full of encouragement for his fellow swimmers. Bob is usually one of the first to put ups his hand and help out his Alligator friends when needed.
