Building Code of Australia 2007 seminars
This circular is to give councils, accreditation bodies, relevant government agencies and industry groups notice of upcoming seminars regarding the Building Code of Australia (BCA) 2007.
BCA 2007 Seminars
The BCA 2007 takes effect in NSW on 1 May 2007.
Information seminars to familiarise you with the changes made from the current edition of the BCA will be held in late February 2007.
The format of the half-day seminars will be an overview of the changes to the BCA followed by an update on changes to related Australian Standards presented by Standards Australia.
Knowledge of the changes to the BCA is essential for all professionals involved in the design, construction and certification of buildings.
The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) will be conducting seminars in the capital cities around Australia in February and March 2007. Two seminars are scheduled for Sydney—Monday 26 February and Tuesday 27 February.

A more detailed circular regarding BCA 2007 will be issued at a later date to provide practitioners with more comprehensive information on the coming changes to the BCA and their application in NSW.
