RESPONSIBILITY: CUSTOMER COMMUNITY SERVICES & TECHNOLOGY
OBJECTIVE: To provide guidelines for having current Councillors names recorded on new plaques throughout the Shire.
REVIEW Within the first 12 months of each term of Council or as required.

a) Plaques are those symbols of acknowledgment or recognition of the completion of significant community facilities, such as community buildings, recreation and community facilities.
b) Plaques should normally be placed inside these facilities at the time of the official opening of the facility.
c) Plaques are to be contained wherever practicable within facilities, to reduce vandalism.
d) Names to be recognised on any plaque must include the following:
i. The Mayor.
ii. Deputy Mayor.
iii. Councillors.
iv. The General Manager.
v. Other staff or authorities as deemed appropriate by the Mayor and General Manager
e) Plaques that are required for installation outside a facility should be of a cast material, the cost of same to be incorporated into original budget projections for the facility.
