OBJECTIVE: To provide regulations for the Emergency Fund Management Committee.

Emergency Fund Regulations
Name of Fund: The Hills Shire Emergency Fund
Objective: To provide relief for persons who are in necessitous circumstances as a result of a disaster within The Hills Shire.
Membership: The Hills Shire Council has resolved to appoint the following positions to manage the fund. The individual representatives would be nominated by the Mayor. The Committee would have the power to co-opt members as considered necessary.
Committee: Mayor
Red Cross Representative Business Representative Service Club Representative General Manager or Nominees
Officers of Dept. of Community Services
Accountabilities: A separate Trust fund register be maintained and all moneys received on behalf of the fund will be deposited to that account.
All payments in excess of $50 made by the Trust shall be paid by cheque authorised by the Committee.
Acknowledgement: Receipt will be issued in the name of Council for all donations received.
Non Profit: The assets and income of the fund shall be applied solely in furtherance of its objective
Expenses: No member of the committee either permanent or co-opted shall receive payment or compensation for services rendered or expenses incurred on behalf of the trust from the trust

Dissolution: In the event of winding up or dissolution the balance of the account held in trust shall be distributed by resolution of Council in keeping with the objectives of the fund.
