1. BPB Accredited – Category C8 - for Fire Detection and Alarm systems.
2. BPB Accredited – Category C9 - for Mechanical ducted smoke control system/s.
3. BPB Accredited – Category C14 - for Hydraulic fire safety system/s within the meaning of clause 165 of EP&A Reg.
4. National Engineering Register (Engineers Australia) – Professional or Chartered Engineer – in building services, mechanical or fire safety as applicable to the fire services related to the CFSP requirement
together with current Professional Indemnity.
5. Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme (FPAS) – Fire Systems Design Category – Sprinkler system, Hydrant, Fire hose reel, and Smoke detection and alarm designers.

6. Victorian Building Authority – Engineers in the following categories – Mechanical engineer (Mech Ducted smoke control systems), Electrical engineer (smoke detection and alarm systems), Fire safety engineer (sprinklers, hydrants and fire hose reel design), or Draft person (Building Design – Services) with experience in Fire Service being designed. As the Fire Service being designed/altered will need to reflect the VBA registration associated with the work.

Performance solution report pursuant to clause 130/144A including copy of the brief on which the justification of the performance solution was based, and accompanied by the plans and specifications which show and describe the physical elements of the performance solution.
Plans and specifications of the relevant fire safety system, detailed as required by clause 136AA/146B, and certified by a compliance certificate section 6.4 (e)/109C(1)(a) EP&A Act or otherwise endorsed, as required by clause 136AA/146B.
Endorsed documentation, pursuant to a 164B request for a BCA compliance exemption related to the operational performance of a relevant fire safety system.
Compliance certificate section 6.4 (e)/109C(1)(a)EP&A Act or written report, pursuant to clause 152B, which includes a statement of completion and consistency of the building work with the clause 130/144A performance solution report.

NB: until an order is published pursuant to subclause (1) of 167A of the EP&A Regulation 2000, The Hills Shire Council when acting as certifier/principal certifier will have sole discretion to determine in its opinion, when a person is taken to be a Competent Fire Safety Practitioner. The completion of this statement, the required accreditation therein and any attached documentation will form the minimum base line information for the consideration of that opinion.
