procedures are set out below.
Note: All students participating in French or Japanese will use a computer as these assessments are delivered and completed online.

In Notepad, students can create a repeating header for the details required at the top of each page. In WordPad, the student will need to copy and paste their details at the top of each page.
Students can Students cannot
• use the cut, copy and paste functions within their own work
• use the spell-checker or grammar-checker functions
• underline, bold and italicise • use auto-correct or auto-text functions
• use superscript and subscript. • create automatic graphs by entering data.
Multiple-choice questions
Place the question number on the far left of the page, followed by a full stop, followed by a short space, followed by the student’s response. For example:
1. C 2. A 3. B
Short-response questions
Any question or part of a question that requires handwriting (e.g. an equation) must be completed in the response book.
The setting out should reflect the way the questions are organised, for example:
Q4
a) Relation 2 and Relation 4 as both these have only one output for every input.
b) Relation 2 is discrete; Relation 4 is continuous.
Extended written response questions
Type the question number (and title of selected work for English and image number for Visual Art) at the top of the page.
Submitting responses
Student responses must be printed. If the computer is not connected to a printer, the student is to transfer their response/s to a USB flash drive and give it to the supervisor. The student should check the printed file. Once the printed file is thoroughly checked by the supervisor, all saved work must be erased from the computer and all storage devices.
The supervisor is to place typed responses as unfastened A4 sheets inside the front cover of the student’s response book (no staples). Return the response book following the procedures for returning materials in the subject’s Administration guide located in the School Portal under
‘Resources’.
