34; Authorized officer" - Any member of the police force, and any person designated as such in writing by the Commissioner; 34; Minister" - The Minister of Transport or any other Minister of the Crown for the time being administering this Act;. PART I-PRELIMINARY

BE IT ENACTED by Her Majesty the Queen, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by authority of the same, as follows:-. Every regulation and every determination under it which originates in section 44B of the principal Act and was in force immediately before the passing of this Act shall be deemed to originate in section 44B "The. On and after the date of entry into force of this Act-. (a) any part of a local authority area, or any road or part of a road in a local authority area, within or to which the provisions of Part VIA of "The. 3 TRAFFIC ACTS, ETC., AMENDMENT ACT. OF 1965 sine powers in that behalf under the provisions of Part VIA of (c) all official traffic signs, parking meters and parking spaces which, on the date of the commencement of this Act, are in any part of a local authority's area which is deemed to be subject to clause (a) or clause ( (b) in this subsection shall be a traffic area or, in the case of an official traffic sign, is on. a road other than a declared road in a local authority area shall be deemed to be official traffic signs, parking meters and car parks placed, erected or installed by the municipality in question under the authority of “The. Traffic Acts, 1949 to the date of commencement of this Act shall be transferred to the Traffic Engineering Trust Fund established under section 14A of “The.

Traffic Acts, 1949 to and may be applied for any of the purposes for which funds from that fund may be utilized. On and after the date of entry into force of this law. TRAFFIC ACT AMENDMENT ACT 1974-1977

-6 137 (b) in subsection (2) of section 31 of this Act means the day of the entry into force of section 8 of this Act which repeals section 16 of the Principal Act and substitutes a new section 16. A medical practitioner shall not take a sample of blood under this subsection where in his opinion it would be harmful to the medical condition of the patient to do so. Section 16B of the Principal Act is amended by-. d) after subsection (2) insert the following subsection:-. a) a certificate given under subsection (17) of section 16A setting out the matters in paragraph (b) of that subsection of a laboratory test of a sample of blood from a. In a case to which paragraph (a) applies, a copy of the certificate must be served as a written declaration that the provisional license or learner's permit of the person concerned has been canceled under this subsection. Section 55A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words "Superintendent" and substituting the words "authorized officer".

34;Medium"-When used for the purpose of an indication given by an official traffic sign on any road, includes that part of the carriageway of such road which is situated within imaginary lines taken. (a) those places which is indicated on such road. official traffic sign or b) the places where such official traffic signs are located (in any case where places are not specified as indicated in clause (a) hereof), to the center line of the carriageway as shown on the plan below.
