PART I-PRELIMINARY
BE IT ENACTED by Her Majesty the Queen, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by authority of the same, as follows:-. Every regulation and every determination under it which originates in section 44B of the principal Act and was in force immediately before the passing of this Act shall be deemed to originate in section 44B "The. Notwithstanding the repeal of this section by section 45A of the principal Act, this section and all regulations made for the purposes of this Act shall be deemed to continue in force in respect of all offenses under the principal Act which such regulations designate as minor traffic offenses committed before the date on which this Part comes into force.
On and after the date of entry into force of this Act-. (a) any part of a local authority area, or any road or part of a road in a local authority area, within or to which the provisions of Part VIA of "The. 3 TRAFFIC ACTS, ETC., AMENDMENT ACT. OF 1965 sine powers in that behalf under the provisions of Part VIA of (c) all official traffic signs, parking meters and parking spaces which, on the date of the commencement of this Act, are in any part of a local authority's area which is deemed to be subject to clause (a) or clause ( (b) in this subsection shall be a traffic area or, in the case of an official traffic sign, is on. a road other than a declared road in a local authority area shall be deemed to be official traffic signs, parking meters and car parks placed, erected or installed by the municipality in question under the authority of “The. Traffic Acts, 1949 to the date of commencement of this Act shall be transferred to the Traffic Engineering Trust Fund established under section 14A of “The.
Traffic Acts, 1949 to and may be applied for any of the purposes for which funds from that fund may be utilized. On and after the date of entry into force of this law. (a) all property and assets of the Traffic Engineer shall be vested in the Commissioner of Main Roads and the Commissioner of Main Roads shall have power to dispose of some or all of such assets and property by negotiation with the Brisbane City Council or a local authority or in any other manner he deems appropriate. All monies to the credit of the metered parking account established by a local authority under subsection (5) of section 49E of "The Local Government Acts, 1936 to" shall be deposited by the local authority into the regulated parking account established pursuant to subsection .
TRAFFIC ACT AMENDMENT ACT 1974-1977
-6 137 (b) in subsection (2) of section 31 of this Act means the day of the entry into force of section 8 of this Act which repeals section 16 of the Principal Act and substitutes a new section 16. A medical practitioner shall not take a sample of blood under this subsection where in his opinion it would be harmful to the medical condition of the patient to do so. If the person was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in the accident and such refusal is within two hours of the time of the accident, he is guilty of an offense deemed to be an offense against subsection (1) of section to be 16. and is subject to the same punishment in all respects (including disqualification from holding or obtaining a driving licence) as he would be in the case of the offense which is actually one committed by him against the said subsection (1).
Section 16B of the Principal Act is amended by-. d) after subsection (2) insert the following subsection:-. a) a certificate given under subsection (17) of section 16A setting out the matters in paragraph (b) of that subsection of a laboratory test of a sample of blood from a. In a case to which paragraph (a) applies, a copy of the certificate must be served as a written declaration that the provisional license or learner's permit of the person concerned has been canceled under this subsection. Section 55A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words "Superintendent" and substituting the words "authorized officer".

34;Medium"-When used for the purpose of an indication given by an official traffic sign on any road, includes that part of the carriageway of such road which is situated within imaginary lines taken. (a) those places which is indicated on such road. official traffic sign or b) the places where such official traffic signs are located (in any case where places are not specified as indicated in clause (a) hereof), to the center line of the carriageway as shown on the plan below.

-line''-A dividing line or, where there is no dividing line, the unmarked center line of the carriageway;. 34;Center Parking"-Parking of a vehicle in the carriageway of any road at or substantially in the center of such carriageway and, unless otherwise indicated or required by signs or road markings, approximately perpendicular to the center of roadway;. 34;Side marker lamp"-A lamp which, when lit, is visible from the side of the vehicle on which it is fitted;.
According to these regulations, a driver on a two-way carriageway must keep his vehicle as close as possible to the left-hand edge of the carriageway, unless there are two or more marked lanes available for traffic in the direction in which he is driving. process. A motor vehicle driver must not follow another vehicle closer than is reasonable and prudent, taking into account the speed of those vehicles and the traffic and road conditions. A person shall not stop or leave a vehicle in a parking lot-- (a) between the center of the carriageway of such road and the vehicle or.
A driver of a tram must not leave it standing so that any part of the tram is at an intersection or pedestrian crossing. Provided that the requirements of clauses (a) and (e) of sub-regulation (1}. of this regulation shall not apply to any load or equipment projecting more than 1 meter to the rear of a motor vehicle or a trailer drawn therefrom. or of any vehicle drawn by animal power if -.a) the overall length of the vehicle or of the combination of vehicle and trailer, as the case may be, together with the load or equipment thereon is within the relevant limit laid down by the Appendix to this Part of these Regulations; ;. A person may not drive a motor vehicle on any road. (a) with the outlet of the exhaust from the engine of such vehicle so arranged as to project the exhaust directly onto such road, or as to be likely to alarm any animal in the immediate vicinity of such motor vehicle; or. (b) from the exhaust or any other part from which smoke is emitted.
