Provided that any expenditure properly incurred by a Local Authority under or in terms of the repealed laws or any of them and which was not met before the commencement of this Act may be met from such fees. vi) (a). PART IV-FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES 15. Local Autbrity to improve d maintain stock routes and resenes

Destroy noxious plants on any stock road or part of a stock route or reserve for traveling stock or part thereof which is not fenced with any property or leased;. vii). If required under any program of works approved by the Governor in Council under this Act- (a) Carry out (subject to the provisions of the Land Acts relating to the destruction and/or barking of timber) barking, clearing and/or any other work on any stock route, part of a stock route or reserve for traveling stock; and.

Where a local authority elects to collect such a fine by way of an action for debt, it shall recover in such action an amount equal to the maximum fine that could in the circumstances be assessed under this subsection if the stock capacity of the paddock on the stock route in the area was reasonable. a demand accepted as such by the local government, or an amount of one hundred dollars (whichever is greater), but the court deciding such action may, if it finds in favor of the plaintiff, order payment of such amount to the plaintiff ((at least one hundred dollars) appears to the court to be proper and prescribed by this subsection.
PART V-DESTRUCTION OF DINGOES, OTHER VERMIN AND
For the purpose of the destruction of dingoes, foxes, or (if the Minister has ordered the destruction of dingoes, foxes, or (if the Minister has directed the destruction of any other vermin for the protection of lands within any Territory) such other vermin , it shall be lawful for any person authorized by the Superintendent to lay poison bait or set traps on any Crown land or, after seven days' notice having been given to the owner thereof, on any holding It shall not be lawful to cyanide of potassium not to be used for the destruction of dingoes, foxes.
The Minister shall cause a copy of the decision to be sent to each owner to whom the request relates. A syndicate may authorize any person to enter, on any property included in the syndicate's dingo cull zone, registered in relation to the syndicate, for the purpose of searching for and destroying dingoes.

Every such owner shall be entitled to payment from the fund of so much of the cost of erecting and maintaining such fence as is paid by him, in excess of the amount which he is liable to contribute towards such cost. 34,35 STOCK ROUTES AND PROTECTION OF RURAL DISTRICTS their respective holdings which in the opinion of the Minister are favored or protected as aforesaid and the amount of their respective contributions shall be apportioned by the Minister.
After hearing the Minister and all other affected owners who appear and request to be heard, the Land Court may vary the Minister's decision, either with respect to the appellant or with respect to the appellant and all or any of the other affected owners thereby in such manner as it deems necessary to apportion among such owners in an equitable manner the aggregate amount which owners may contribute under this section. The remaining amount of the costs of the construction of a vermin-proof fence, for which the Minister has borne only a part of these costs, must be paid by the owners of holdings in the conditions prescribed in section 33 of this Act, and this section applies. The minister may, on the recommendation of the coordination council, cover all or part of the expenses for such maintenance of the fund.

The publication in the Gazette of any Proclamation, Order in Council or Regulation shall be conclusive evidence of the matters contained therein, and of the power and authority to make such proclamation, order in council or regulation. Upon payment of the annual registration fee for any year other than the first year, the owner of the dog is issued a disc (at the owner's expense) showing the year of issue. 5) Unregistered dogs may be destroyed. The section does not apply in any area where Local Authority by-laws provide for the compulsory registration of dogs.
Report to Parliament. A report on the operations of this Act shall each year be made by the Superintendent to the Minister for submission
This section shall have effect in such areas or parts of areas as may be determined from time to time by the Governor in Council by Order in Council. The Governor in Council may by another Order in Council revoke any such Order in Council and thereafter this section shall cease to have effect in the areas or parts of areas specified in the revoked Order in Council, but without prejudice to the power of The Governor in Council shall re-enact this section in such areas or parts of areas.
