Dear Resident / Business Owner
Construction of The Hills’ new aquatic centre is beginning following Council’s approval of a $55 million concept design and the appointment of ADCO Constructions to carry out the work.
A 10-lane 50 metre Olympic pool, warm water program pool, spa and sauna, underground parking, café, clubhouse and water play area are just some of the features of the new complex. Preliminary works, including decommissioning of the site, removal of equipment and make-safe works in preparation for demolition have been completed.
This notice is to inform you that ADCO Constructions have engaged the demolition contractor to commence works onsite. Hazardous materials will be safely disposed of prior to demolition works commencing. Appropriate safety measures will be in place for the duration of the project.
When
• We expect these works to commence in the coming week.
• These works will take place from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
• Please note that the works may change in the event of inclement weather or for other unforeseeable circumstances outside of our control.
Please be assured that we will be working hard to minimise construction impacts on residents and the local community, and that we are happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
What we are doing
• Removal of hazardous material
• Commencement of demolition works, removal of existing the structure.
• Operation of heavy machinery and construction vehicles.
What to be aware of
Traffic and Pedestrian Changes
• Periods of partial disruptions will be experienced as construction vehicles operate in the work area. Throughout this process, access will be maintained with appropriate measures in place.
Noise and Vibration
• These works are expected to generate medium – high levels of noise and vibration.
We apologise for any disturbances that may occur as a result of these works.
