A policy, theoretical and empirical‐oriented paper for economic growth and
development strategies. The paper develops frameworks for specific policy issues, including stabilisation and economic growth, capital resources and finance, natural resources and environment, agriculture, industry, competing paradigms of
development economics, structural adjustments and major strategies of development.

4. Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this paper should be able to:
1. Demonstrate theoretical and empirical analysis of economic growth process.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of economic growth theory, development and policy implications.
3. Demonstrate an awareness of economic growth problems, issues in globalisation, and provide grounding in major growth strategies and development.
4. Apply empirical analysis of growth models to developing countries and/or regions, and draw appropriate policy recommendations”
