BE IT ENACI'ED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:
PART I PRELIMINARY
Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as the "Statutes Amendment (Judges' Salaries) Act, 1974".

AMENDMENT OF THE SUPREME COURT ACT
3. (1) The Supreme Court Act, 1935-1972, as amended by this Act, may Short titles.

(1) Until the first day of January, 1974, the salary of the Chief Justice or acting Chief Justice and the salary of every puisne judge or acting puisne judge shall be at the rates respectively prescribed by this Act as in force immediately prior to that day and on and after that day the salary of the Chief Justice or acting Chief Justice shall be at the rate of thirty-seven thousand dollars a year and the salary of every puisne judge or acting puisne judge shall be at the rate of thirty-three thousand dollars a year.;
(b) by striking out subsection (2).

5. (1) The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1972, as amended Short titles.
by this Act, may be cited as the "Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1972-1974".
(2) The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1972, is in this Part referred to as "the principal Act".
6. Section 11 of the principal Act is amended by striking out subsection (1) Amendment of principal Act,
and inserting in lieu thereofthe following subsection:- s.lI- (I) Until the first day of January, 1974, the salary of the President of the Court and every Deputy President of the Court shall be at the rates respectively pre&cribed by this Act as in force immediately prior to that day and on and after that day the salary of the President shall be at the rate of thirty-three thousand dollars a year and the salary of every,peputy.-President shall be at the rate of twenty-six thousand dollars a year.

AMENDMENT OF THE LOCAL AND DISTRICT CRIMINAL COURTS ACT
7. (1) The Local and District Criminal Courts Act, 1926-1972, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the "Local and District Criminal Courts Act, 1926-1974".
(2) The Local and District Criminal Courts Act, 1926-1972, is in this Part referred to as "the principal Act".
8. Section 5e of the principal Act is amended by striking out subsection (1) and inserting in lieu thereof the following subsection:-
(1) Until the first day of January, 1974, the salary of the Senior Judge or Acting Senior Judge appointed and performing any duties under or for the purposes of this Part and the salary of every Judge or Acting Judge appointed and performing any duties under or for the purposes of this Part shall be at the rates respectively prescribed by this Act as in force immediately prior to that day and on and after that day the salary of the Senior Judge or Acting Senior Judge appointed and performing any duties under or for the purposes of this Part shall be at the rate of twenty-eight thousand five hundred dollars a year and the salary of every Judge or Acting Judge appointed and performing any duties under or for the purposes of this Part shall be at the rate of twenty-six thousand dollars a year.
PART V
AMENDMENT OF THE LICENSING ACT
9. (1) The Licensing Act, 1967-1973, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the "Licensing Act, 1967-1974".
(2) The Licensing Act, 1967-1973, is in this Part referred to as "the principal
Act". -
10. Section 5 of the principal Act is amended by striking out subsection (6) and inserting in lieu thereof the following subsection:-
(6) Until the first day of January, 1974, the salary of the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman shall be at the rates respectively prescribed by this Act as in force immediately prior to that day and on and after that day the salary of the Chairman shall be at the rate of twenty-six thousand dollars a year and the salary of the Deputy Chairman shall be at the rate of twenty-three thousand five hundred dollars a year.
