An Act to amend the Gas Act, 1924.
[Assented to 3 May 1984]
BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Gas Act Amendment Act, 1984".
(2) The Gas Act, 1924, is in this Act referred to as "the principal Act".
2. This Act shall come into operation on a day to be fixed by procla- mation.
3. Section 5 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the definition of "Director of Chemistry" and substituting the following definition:
"the Director" means the person holding or acting in the office of Director of the Department of Labour:.
4. Section 6 of the principal Act is repealed.
S. Section 8 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage
"of Chemistry".
6. Section 9 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage
"of Chemistry" wherever it occurs.
7. Section 10 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage
"of Chemistry".
8. Section 11 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage
"of Chemistry".

10. Section 15 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage "of Chemistry".
11. Section 17 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage "of Chemistry".
12. Section 23 of the principal Act IS amended by striking out the passage "of Chemistry".
13. Section 25 of the principal Act is amended by striking out from subsection (I) the passage "of Chemistry".
14. The first schedule to the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage "of Chemistry" wherever it occurs.
