An Act to enable the South Australian Railways Commissioner to sell to the Municipal Tramways Trust the two lines of railway between Adelaide and Glenelg, the line of railway between Grange and Henley Beaeh, and part of the line of railway hetween Woodville and Grange.

B E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the" Railways Transfer Act, 1927."

Short title.

2. (1) The South Australian Railways Commissioner may enter

certain railways.

under the Municipal Tramways Trust Act, 1906 (hereinafter called

"the Trust "), for the sale to the Trust of the railways and parts of railways described in the Schedule to this Act together with all or any of the lands, interests in land, buildings, lines of railwal.' sidings, platforms, and structures, pertaining to any of the said raIlways, on such terms and conditions as the said Commissioner thinks fit.

(2) No agreement so entered into shall have any force or effect until the Governor has in writing signified his approval thereto.

(3) The South Australian Railways Commissioner may carry into effeot any agreement entered into under this Act and approved by the Govemor as aforesaid.

RAILWAYS TO WHICH THIS ACT REFERS.

1. So much of the railway from Adelaide to Glenelg constructed pursuant to the Adelaide, Glenelg, and Suburban Railway Act, 1871, and purchased by the South Australian Railways Commissioner pursuant to The Glenelg Railways Purchase Act, 1899, as lies between South Terrace and the terminus of the said railway at Glenelg.

2. So much of t.he railway from Adelaide .to Glenelg constructed pursuant to The Holdfast Bay Railway Act, 1878, and purchased by the South Australian Railways Commissioner pursuant to The Glenelg Railways Purchase Act, 1899, as Hes between Bakewell Bridge and the terminus of the said r:tilway at Glenelg.

3. So much of the railway from Woodville to Grange, constructed pursuant to The Grange and Military Road Railway Act, and purchased by the South Australian Railways Commissioner, pursuant to resolution of the House of Assembly carried on the 5th da.y of October, 1892, as lies between the point where the main road from Adelaide to Port Adelaide intersects the said railway, and the railway station at Grange.

4. The whole of the railway between the Grange and Henley Beach authorised by The Grange and Henley Beach Railway Act, 1898.
