An Act to amend the Marriage Act, 1936.

BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows :
Short titles. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the" Marriage Act Amend-

(2) The Marriage Act, 1936, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the " Marriage Act, 1936-1941 ".
(3) The Marriage Act, 1936, is hereinafter referred to as" the principal Act " .
2. Section 26 of the p:rincipal Act is amended by adding at the end of subsection (1) thereof the words" and the signature of any parent or guardian giving such consent shall be witnessed by the principal registrar or the deputy registrar or by a district registrar, officiating minister, officiating registrar, justice, or commissioner for taking affidavits in the Supreme Court."
3. The form No.3 in the third schedule to the principal Act is amended-
(a) by striking out the words" who is under the age of twenty-one years" in the said form and by inserting in lieu thereof the passage "who was born at ... on the ... day of ... 19 ";

(b) by inserting after the line" Dated this day of 19 ", the following passage :--
