An Act to amend The Marine Stores Act, 1898.1935.
[A.ssented to 23rd October, 1947.]
BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:
Short titles. 1. (1) This Act rna y be cited as the "Marine Stores Act Amendment Act, 1947".
(2) The Marine Stores Act, 1898-1935, as amended by this Act, may be cited as "The Marine Stores Act, 1898-1947".
(3) The Marine Stores Act, 1898-1935, is hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act".
Amendment of 2. Section 13 of the principal Act is amended by inserting

s.13- after the word" person" in the last line of paragraph IV. thereof
Purchase book. the words "and such other particulars as are required to be stated in the said form".
Amendment of principal Act, s.30- Regulations.
3. Section 30 of the principal Act is amended-
(a) by inserting therein after paragraph VIII. thereof the following paragraph : -
IX. that the forms provided in the schedules to this Act shall be varied in manner prescribed by the regulations or that other forms shall be prescribed in lieu of any form provided in any such schedule or prescribed by regu1ation :

(b) by striking out the words "All such regulations upon being published in the Government Gazette and laid before, both Houses of Parliament for thirty days, if not disallowed by either House of Parliament, shall be valid in law as if the same were enacted by this Act, and shall be judicially noticed, and"
(0) by adding at the end thereof the following paragraph:- The provisions of section 38 of the Acts Interpretation Act, 1915-1945, shall apply to all regulations made under this Act.
4. The form in the fifth schedule to the principal Act IS amended so as to read as follows:-

Except as hereinafter provided all entries shall be made by the licensed dealer in black ink.
If marine stores are bought by the licensed dealer at auction, the insertion in the book of a receipt from the auctioneer for the price paid for the marine stores giving particulars of the date and place of the sale, the name of the auctioneer, and a clear and accurate description of the marine stores and signed by the auctioneer in ink or indelible pencil, shall be deemed to be a sufficient entry.
If marine stores bought by the licensed dealer are consigned to the dealer by rail, ship or other transport, the signature of the person from whom the marine stores were bought or received need not appear in the book if a consignment note in respect of the marine store is inserted in the book and the other particulars required to be entered m the book are so entered.
