An Act to amend the Constitution Act, 1934 .. 1943.
[.Assented to 6th November, 1947.]
BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:
Short title.. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Constitution Act
Amendment Act, 1947 ".
(2) The Constitution Act, 1934-1943, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the" Constitution Act, 1934-1947 ".
(3) The Constitution Act, 1934-1943, is in this Act called
"the principal Act".
Incorporation. 2. This Act is incorpo:rated with the principal Act and that Act and this Act shall be read as one Act.
~;z:,1ment of 3. Section 17 of the principal Act is amended by striking
principal Act- out the words "one month" in the second line and inserting in ::a;at~o~O~cIl. lieu thereof the words "twelve sitting days consecutively".
Amendment of s. 31 of principal Act- Vacation of seat In Auembly.
4. Section 31 of the principal Act is amended-
(a) by striking out the words "one month" in the second line and inserting in lieu thereof the words "twelve sitting days consecutively".
(b) by striking out the word "Legislature" in the second line and inserting in lieu thereof the words "House of Assembly".

the words" seven thousand seven hundred and fifty" in sub sec- principal Act-
tion (3) and inserting in lieu thereof the words" ten thousand =~B~' seven hundred and fifty".
6. Section 72 of the principal Act is amended by striking :,~~~~g:t of
out paragraph (a) of the proviso to subsection (1) and inserting principal Act-
in lieu thereof the following paragraph : - t~~:n~~ appropriate to
(a) the amount so appropriated in any financial year revenue shall not exceed, in the aggregate, four hundred thousand pounds:
