Information
The Indooroopilly State School Amateur Swim Club, Indooroopilly Swimming, has strongly influenced the Brisbane swimming scene since its inception. Indooroopilly Swimming is affiliated with the
Brisbane Swimming Association and operates from a recently renovated, 8 lane, 25 metre, fully heated pool at Indooroopilly State School with membership open to all swimmers. The club holds regular meets from late September until late March. Year round coaching and training is available to swimmers of all levels, including learn to swim, junior squad and state/national squad. Currently the club has 240 registered swimmers.
The club is looking for a head coach to oversee all of the swimming programs, concentrating on maintaining a strong, competitive swimmer program. The head coach would be responsible for preparing programs for all of the squads, grade swimmers for advancement, oversee the assistant coaches and coach the developing/state/national and fitness swimmers.
The coach will be an enthusiastic and encouraging member of the swim club, forming a close
relationship with parents and children at the club, attending and encouraging swimmers to attend club nights, attending local and state/national meets.
Currently the summer program runs from 5.00am till 8.30am, 3.30pm till 7.00pm Monday to Friday.
Saturday morning sessions are also offered.
