EXHIBITION OF PLANNING PROPOSAL AND DRAFT AMENDMENTS TO THE HILLS DEVELOPMENT CONTROL PLAN 2012 IN RELATION TO A PROPOSED ROAD CONNECTION ACROSS SMALLS CREEK BETWEEN ROSS PLACE, NORTH KELLYVILLE AND EDWARDS ROAD, ROUSE HILL (16/2018/PLP) Council has received Gateway Determination to proceed with a planning proposal to amend The Hills Local Environmental Plan 2012 as it relates to land at the following properties:
• 282 Annangrove Road, North Kellyville;
• 288 Annangrove Road, Rouse Hill;
• 290–312 Annangrove Road, Rouse Hill;
• 20 Edwards Road, Rouse Hill; and
• 31 Edwards Road, Rouse Hill.
The proposal seeks to rezone a portion of these properties from B6 Enterprise Corridor to SP2 Infrastructure (Local Road Widening) for the purpose of the bridge connection over Smalls Creek between Ross Place and Edwards Road. Delegation for making of the amendment has been issued to Council under the Gateway Determination.
To support the planning proposal, draft amendments to The Hills Development Control Plan 2012 have been prepared to reflect the proposed road layout changes.

PROPOSED ROAD CLOSING UNDER SECTION 38B ROADS ACT 1993 In pursuance of the provisions of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given that The Hills Shire Council proposes to close the public road listed in Schedule 1.
Schedule 1
The roads under consideration comprise part of Council public road known as Castle Street, Castle Hill being approximately 3,278 square metres and Castle Place, Castle Hill being an irregular shape approximately 1,344 square metres adjoining Lot 500 DP 1006106, Parish of Castle Hill, County of Cumberland. Upon closure of the road Council intends to enter into a 99-year lease with the adjoining landowner and the land will vest in The Hills Shire Council as Operational land.
All interested persons are hereby invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the General Manager, The Hills Shire Council, PO Box 7064, Baulkham Hills BC NSW 2153, within twenty-eight (28) days of the date of this advertisement.
Please note that under the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, such submissions may be referred to third parties for consideration.

PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – HALLOWAY BOULEVARD, NORTH KELLYVILLE
In accordance with Section 115 of the Roads Act 1993, it is intended to temporarily close Halloway Boulevard between Opperman Drive and Rosenfeld Avenue for a period of approximately two weeks commencing on 13 August 2018.
The purpose of the closure is to allow the construction of road works in conjunction with an adjoining subdivision at 49 Halloway Boulevarde.
Residents in the area will not be affected by the closure.

IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE
SYDNEY-NORTH REGIONAL FOX BAITING PROGRAM
Please be advised that the regional fox baiting program will be undertaken at local reserves in the Sydney North Region. The aim of the project is to protect native wildlife including threatened species from fox predation.
1080 POISON BAITS WILL BE LAID IN THE FOLLOWING RESERVES:
• Bidjigal Reserve
(Managed by The Bidjigal Reserve Trust)
• Eric Mobbs Reserve, Excelsior Reserve, Ted Horwood Reserve Lot 51, Cadwells Road, Kenthurst
(Managed by The Hills Shire Council)
• Lake Parramatta Reserve (Managed by City of Parramatta Council)
Foxoff® poison baits (containing 1080) will be laid from Monday, 20 August 2018 to Friday, 14 September 2018.
The fox control program will involve the use of ‘Foxoff® Econobait’ poison baits that are designed specifically for fox control. Poison baits contain 1080 (sodium monofluoroacetate). Baits will be buried to reduce the risk of non-target poisoning. Warning signs will be displayed to notify the public about the program.
It is vital that pet owners take extra precautions to ensure that their pets do not enter these reserves during the dates stated. Penalties up to $1,100 apply under the Local Government Act (1993) Sect 632 (2) (d).
WARNING
1080 POISON IS LETHAL TO CATS AND DOGS.
Cats and Dogs must not enter baited reserves during the following dates:
• Monday, 20 August 2018 to Friday, 12 October 2018 Dogs on leads can return to these reserves
on Saturday, 13 October 2018.
