In this weeks PART 2 edition of the “Weekly Wrap” we provide you with information regarding the Maccabi Junior Carnival.
WHO WANTS TO PARTICIPATE AT THE MACCABI AUSTRALIA JUNIOR CARNIVAL AND BE PART OF TEAM VICTORIA?

The 31st Maccabi Junior Carnival is less than 5 months away and planning for a fun filled carnival is well underway.
The carnival, catering for 12-16 year olds will see participants travelling to Sydney from all over Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore to enjoy 8 days of fun filled activities. A large contingent will be representing TEAM VIC 2013.
The carnival PROMISES to be action packed with each day having its own
“theme”.
The opening day of the Carnival is 15th January 2013 where prior to the Opening Ceremony various ATHLETICS EVENTS will be held.

Following the athletic events, the OPENING CEREMONY will take place. If you thought the Olympic Games opening ceremony was AWESOME, wait until you see Maccabi’s opening ceremony!!!
The Carnival will feature two OUTDOOR Sports Days, two INDOOR Sports Days, a COMMUNITY Day, a BEACH Day and an ADVENTURE Day.

WHAT OTHER EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE CARNIVAL?
On separate days of the Carnival an Adventure Day, Beach Day and a Community Day will take place. Tell me more about these days!!!
ADVENTURE DAY
Carnival participants will be transported by bus to the BLUE MOUNTAINS for the “MUD RUN”. What is “THE MUD RUN”?
It’s a day where OLD CLOTHES are required as participants will compete in different obstacles around a track that is full of MUD!!!. WOW, this sounds fun!!!!
BEACH DAY
The day will be held at a beach in Sydney where different activities will take place. Remember to SLIP, SLOP, SLAP as you will take part in LOTS of BEACH ACTIVITIES.
COMMUNITY DAY
Following on from the success at previous carnivals, Sydney will continue this tradition with a COMMUNITY DAY. All Carnival participants will be assigned in small groups to assist charities or community organizations.
BILLETING ARRANGEMENTS
All participants will be billeted with a carnival member from NSW. This is a great opportunity to make new friends. Notification as to who your billet is will be notified to you prior to the start of the carnival. The host family will also transport you to the location of the event when required.
WHAT ARE WE DOING IN THE EVENINGS?
On each night of the Carnival there will be plenty of SOCIAL events for you to dress up and PARTY the night away. Events will INCLUDE a:
HARBOUR CRUISE POOL PARTY
MOVIE NIGHT FOAM PARTY
The Carnival will end with a massive CLOSING CEREMONY PARTY where you can celebrate your achievements and say goodbye to all your new friends made.
