About the Organisation

Masters Swimming SA is an Incorporated Association and is the body for competitive swimming in SA for adults 18 years and over. The association currently has 14 Affiliate Member Clubs with a membership of over 600 swimmers. Our mission is t

o provide an environment at Club and State level that encourages adults to swim and participate in order to promote fitness, friendship and fun.

The Position

A fantastic opportunity for an energetic and innovative Marketing Coordinator to help drive Masters Swimming SA into the future. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our team to support our growth through social media.

This role will report to the Board and is responsible for the creation and administration of digital marketing affairs. This is a volunteer role of about 3-5 hours a week depending on the need.

Role of the Marketing Coordinator:

• Content creation and facilitation of the member portal (website) in conjunction with the administrator. Ensure up to date and relevant information is available to members (with writing, photos, videos, graphics)

• Source content from clubs and branches via emails, social media and phone calls for the website.

• Manage the MSSA social media platforms, i.e. Facebook and Instagram, so that the information is accurate and current.

• Increase the engagement of members on social media.

• Monitor comments on social media and provide timely responses when required.

• Encourage non-members who attend events to join MSSA and provide information about clubs.

• Create a new up to date MSSA flyer for distribution.

• Increase exposure of MSSA to the general public through the media.

• Develop a marketing strategy to increase the age group of 18 - 30 year old membership.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Experience with marketing environments.

• General knowledge and understanding of the swimming environment.

• Demonstrated experience in social media platforms.

• Demonstrate experience in leading, planning and implementing new initiatives into traditional markets.

• Proven ability to work autonomously, with outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills and a demonstrated high level of attention to detail.

• High-level communication skills with a proven ability to build, maintain, manage, and influence supportive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders over a range of projects.
