Hi, welcome to the Institute of Early Childhood Development, from all the students here in Kew.

The Student Association Council (SAC) is the student organisation.

It is made up of elected student representatives who take on SAC responsibilities in addition to their studies. Each student pays fees at the beginning of the year to finance services and activities organised and administered by this hard working group. Lunchtime conce rt s and activities such as aerobics and self-defence classes are organised for students, as well as an Annual Ball. Funds are also available to students who apply to the SAC to set up clubs.

Come and meet the SAC representatives in the SAC office, room number 2221, in building 2219. At lunchtime follow the signs and come to the Den' for some refreshments and nibblies, and to listen to some music.

We hope you find Open Day at the Institute enjoyable as well as informative.

Joan Burns President,

Student Association Council

Welcome to all visitors on the Institute's Open Day.

All of you are interested in one way or another in the activities which make up the initial preparation and continuing education of people wanting to work in the care and development of young children.

We appreciate your interest in our work.

Some of you are seeking information and advice to help you in the choice of a vocation. We will do our best to give you assistance in the areas of our particular concern.

Thank you for coming. I hope you have a pleasant and rewarding visit.
